I'm in the process of installing SSA headers on my '05. The SSA's have an extra bung on the y-pipe/flex pipe. Would it be fine to install the LC-1 O2 sensor into this bung?

probably,

Tom (boostology) told me the wideband should be installed in the y-pipe so you're probably good to go

that pretty cool of them to put an extra bung there, i'm need to get an extra one welded onto m dcsports y-pipe to install my wideband,

have you used the lc-1 yet? how do you like it?

i cant wait to get mine installed, just need to find some time to install it and my mafterburner2

Yeah, thats what its there for. However, they say don't leave it in there, just put it in for tuning, and then plug the hole back.

Actually,
The bosch sensor with the LC-1 is supposedly good for 100K miles. You can install the sensor and leave it. You don't have to remove it.
