So I convinced myself not to buy a new set of tail lights.. too expensive.

Has anyone used whole-light vinyls, such as these?

I like the look, but I am wondering if they are next to impossible to place correctly, etc.. what has been your experience with using vinyls like these on the rear lights?

ha.

give me week or two i will answer.,

have mine in car right now. and i am taking stripes off think? today. might do the tails today as well. but kinda scared it will be way too hard. but i paid already. and ir it does not work i will use the tint vinyl on something else in car. maybe lights in the doors and trunk i dunno. but maybe tonight i can give you guys pics. did the 3rd brake light and yeah f'ed it up good. but you cant see unless you have a micro scope. and it looks hot.

i got mine from staw.

and just also got eyelines and fog yellow vinyls from staw too.

vinyl is aweseom. but a little hard to place esp. on those big brake lights. but you can use hott water and a credit car and sissor it is dooable

i am going to mine tonight a decide too!

Sweet, let us know how it goes, even if you can't get pics up right away!

Don't worry Staw, I was only using that one as an example... I stumbled on it whilst browsing eBay ;)

I already bought from you once, I will more than likely buy from you again =D I actually didn't know you offered these until I made this thread and did a search for tail light vinyls...

okay so it looks pretty sweet :)....from afar

was very hard to get on. i have a huge sheet left.

awesome vinyl tho. i pulled off totally about 20 times and once it set took 20 minutes to get off! so it was really good vinyl. but the curve in the light made it extreamly hard. i would be interested in getting precut vinyls tho.

but +1 for scott (staw512) as a seller.

and +2 for his products but
-1 for my vinyling skillz.

i did my 3rd brake light perfect.

and i did my interior lights red. easy and very sex. but its a flat surface. i decided i had so much left tomorrow i am going to vinyl the orange in the headlight turn signal just that one curved side. it is flat. and i think it was a good idea. but open to other ideas have about 2.5 square feet left.

AND FIY i did use warm soapy water. and had a spary bottle like windex bottle with soapy water to spray evenly and water helped. but i could do it :(

o_O

Well, I got pre-cut, so it better be a little easier, or I'm gonna kill myself.

i would say get the blow torch lik for my 3rd bake light. but burnt the light to H3ll.

and it worked great tho lol. just bubbled the vinyl but i popped the bubbles lol and you cant see the burn brake light under the smoked vinyl so its fine.. just not doing it to the tails. might nightshade or see if staw has pre cuts.

I bought the vinyls from staw and they are a PITA to get on correct and I ended up ripping one of the sheets, but if you do buy them take them to a tinting shop to get them put on professionally.

I probably will buy another set and take that route.

Hmm.... I never thought of that, but that is a great idea! I wonder how much they would charge for something like that... The Tint Guy is right down the street from me, and I've had work done there before, hopefully they can just do it for free =D

well why cant we just use a 5 tint? if we are going to do it anyways. just tint! lol
