Just plain sad...

Okay, so my first day of having my badges and I got the stereotypical questions about what a Tuscani is. Heres the sad part.

Just about a half hour ago I was pulling into a supermarket when I spot a red 03-04 Tiburon under a lightpost so I park a spot over, just seeing if anything was done to it. To my dismay, it looked 100% stock. No tint, ugly as hell bottom vinyl with 90'sish GT letters, stock ride height.

Well the lights on the other tib flash right as I am closing my door and some woman who was walking at it was looking at the badge on my hood. She was looking at my badge and from what I could tell she seemed to be squinting.


Her: Does that say Tuscani?

Me: Yeah

Her: Sounds expensive.

Me: Is that your car *I point at the 03-04*

Her: Yeah why?

Me: Mines a Tiburon too, just a 05, after they changed the headlights, tail lights and front bumper.

Her: Nuh uh, that looks way to expensive to be like my car.

She then turned to start loading her cart, and I locked my door and walked into the store. After I was safely in I almost fell down laughing, in which everyone (a customer, a clerk, bagger and manager looked) at me. The manager (I read his tag duh) asked me what was so funny, I just said you wouldn't get it unless you were into car, he gave me a mmhmm, and went back to the cash registers he looked like he was checking out.


All in all, I never expected that out of a Tiburon owner, so I had to post this right away.

ya idk whats up wit the super stock tibs where i live at. i took up the whole drive way to wash my car today and i had to move my dads car... im backin this nissan altima out and not payin attention and this 03-04 blue tib jz comes out of nowhere and almost rear ends me. i wondered if she saw my piece of sex on wheels in the drive way wit a fresh coat of wax... prolly not

thats pretty funny, you should have told her it damn well is expensive and that you were a VIP. ive also had ppl comment on my tuscani badges in parking lots, ive deleted all the tiburon 2.7 stuff and when i tell them its a hyundai their interest level drops like a rock, you can see it in their faces lol

ya that tuscani badge is beautiful, ive lured a number of unsuspecting hoochies into my ride wit that badge alone, wit the sole intent of fornification on the finest of italian leathers.

Yah, I would have just opened the door and be like, "See it's the same as yours pretty much. " Also, why would it matter if their Tiburon was 100% stock? My exterior is 100% other than it being lowered, my headlights, and the tuscani badging on the back instead of tiburon. In fact my paint is pretty bad that you would take one look at my car and go EW....cept I would smoke your car on the street/strip.

Women should be; funny? yes. pretty? yes. Smart? Hell no.

Did you get a pic for the guys on here then? :p

This sounds like how most of my friends would talk to a guy when they see someone with the same car, with just a few mods on. :p

My initial thought on this was: so? How many women do you know are experts on cars?

So I re-read it and the part where you told her it was the same car, only newer, sunk in. Yeah, that's pretty sad when you tell a person what kind of car it is and they don't believe you.

The first mod I did was the Tuscani logos. Drove it to my Mom's and she says, "I thought you bought a Hyundai, how can you afford this?" I really didn't want to be her son at that moment but the old man thought it was funny.

that was my thought too 27-28 is not old but too you she must have been a cougar lol

that story was a little funny you should ahve introduced your self and told her about this community and that you too can a have a sexy tib

Seriously. I don't know how many times this has happened. I just don't get how someone can sit there and be like, "Dang man that is a sweet car, what is it?" And they hear Hyundai and be like "Oh haha, I was just kidding"

WTF?

Your story is hilarious though, silly wiminz.
