VIS Terminator hood issues...OPINIONS NEEDED

So I have some fitment issues with this hood, the gap is pretty even on both sides, but there is a slight bow on the right. So I know I can fix this issue with hood-pins, but I'm looking for some other alternatives. I was wondering if it could be bent down, possibly with heat application? The hood's somewhat flimsy so I might could do it without heat.

this doesn't help you but my stock hood is like this too. Are the rubber stoppers too high?

no, it's not hitting anywhere, rubber stoppers are all the way down. It seems to be a warped hood from the factory, not bad though. I'm trying to avoid hood-pins (i.e. paying for them, though they're cheap, and then having to cut more into my hood to fit them, just a pain.) Could the hood be bent on the corner is my question.

Well I've read some other posts with people who own this same hood using only the hood latch, getting their car up to 120 on the hwy w/no problems, I just want to possibly bend the hood down somehow on that side and be done with it. Has anyone tried that? I mean with a heat application?

lord, the amount of effort you would go through to try to use a "heat application" in order to fix your hood, you could have already ordered and fixed the hood with hood pins. Plus, while not necessary, they are added safety. There's even a write-up on here on how to do the aero hood latch set, the best looking ones to use, and honestly, it looks really really easy to do. you already gone through the money and effort of getting the hood, now go the rest of the way of getting the hood pins. case closed.

also, regardless, i really really doubt there is anything you could do to fix the warp b/c it is a carbon weave, not some sort of poly or plastic that would even react to heat applications via a heat gun or bending of any sort, and if you tried, you would probably just ruin the finish and weave.

^ yea just get the pins. On my cf hood even when I adjusted the latch so it would fully lock the hood, on the freeway at 60mph + there was still vibration cause there is a little bit of give in the latch. Drilling into your hood is nerveracking as hell, but not that bad... I put in my aerocatch hoodpins a week ago and couldn't be happier.

A dremel with a Rotozip bit and a sanding bit cut through it like butter.
