I picked up my 05 bumper from the paint shop today! :3_yes: Looks really good on the car and the fit is just about perfect.
A few notes about the fitment, etc.
1.) The 03/04 grill DOES NOT fit on the 05 bumper
2.) The 03/04 fog lights DO NOT fit on the 05 bumper and cannot be modded to fit, there is a different shape fog light housing on the 05's.
3.) I had to drill a hold in the fender liner near the fog lights because the holes did not line up properly(no biggie, just drilled a new hole)
4). One of the holes on the brackets near the pointy part of the headlights that holds the bumper on do not line up so I had to drill a hole in the bumper(again not a big deal, see pix)
5.) There is a bracket that is on your 03 bumper that needs to come off and go onto your 05 bumper. This bracket is located along the seam where the bumper meets the fender. There are some tabs on the inside of the bumper that help seat this bracket and one of them does not allow the bracket to line up. I trimmed off this tab and everything fit fine. See pix for tab details.
As a side note I did have the fog light covers painted to match the bumper for a couple of reasons one being I liked it that way and another is that the OEM ones are black. So I guess I'll be calling TJ tomorrow and ordering fog lights and grills. My old set of 03/04 fog lights are for sale, 50 shipped for the pair, PM me.
Now here are the pix I took tonight, my camera sucks at night shots, sorry. I'll get some day shots tomorrow after I wash the car.
