Well, I had the strange phenomenon with the tib today driving home from my friends place 5 mins away. Got almost all the way home when both my Battery and E-Brake light came on. I searched around on google to see if I could find anything about it. Couldn't find anything on the Tib, but there were many mistubishi forums saying when those two lights illuminate in their cars, the alternator is dying or dead.
So I got home, grabbed a wrench and disconnected my negative battery terminal while she was running and sure enough, instantly died. Now we just installed my new SC about 10 days ago, and I'm curious if there are any wires that were extended that would have agitated anything connecting to the alternator. I'm at about 65k miles. I'm curious to know who else here has changed their alternator, and at what point did your original die on you? Are there any more tests I could do to confirm this is the problem? (I checked battery fuse and it was fine)
Good thing my b-day is only a week away. I know what i'll be asking for LOL
