Black 2005 Tiburon Exterior Mods: Advice on Blue Accents, Rims, and More

I feel I'm going down the ricer path. I already have the big chrome rims on my black tib, I think it's too late for me, hah. I wanted to have a black/blue scheme, but I don't know what to do that wouldn't look rediculous, or unbalanced. I mean, I have ideas, but if there's too little blue, just looks stupid, eh?

Here are all the possibilities I've fathomed. I just don't know what I would have on my car at the same time, to have it balanced, look good, and not give my school buddies an excuse to say my car sucks. It keeps me up at night! (Remember, it's a black 05) Thanks for your advice!
Clear Corners
Paint blue inside head and tails
Chrome head + tails
Black head + tails
Underglo (blue)
Silver gas ring w/black bolts
Fogs (I still don't have em..)
Tinted head/tails?
Grill (I just gotta get rid of that OEM grill)
Shortie antenna (Pretty sure this one's a gimme. I gotta get one..silver?)
Eibach Sport System kit (Probably happening next summer)
Window Tint
Blue or White angel eyes?
Eyelines? Color?
Chrome door handles
Rebadge
CF Hood?
Any kind of paint job?
Body kit.. (If I find a nice cheap one on Ebay..)

and those are just my exterior ideas. Remember I don't want all of this on my car...having it all on at once isn't even possible, I'm just very indecisive. What looks clean and sharp, and what just.. doesn't? A lot of people say "Just leave it alone" But there's a couple other tibs besides mine at my school alone, I've got atleast some competition. Thanks for any advice you can give me! I hope I can avoid making a thread like this concerning my interior :)

B4 the tib i've only rodded V8 60's and 70's v8 muscle cars. IE 68 mustang 69 chevelle, Nova etc, I always chromed as much as possible and nobody ever said you're car looks too riced. I'm enjoying the Tib though whole new concept, much harder with comp chips.

These are just my opinions real quick

Clear Corners (good idea)
Paint blue inside head and tails (bad idea)
Chrome head + tails (good idea for headlights, bad idea for tailights)
Black head + tails (good idea)
Underglo (blue) (good idea if you like it, i personally don't, but it will look nice)
Silver gas ring w/black bolts (good idea)
Fogs (I still don't have em..) (should be your first mod!, good idea)
Tinted head/tails? (tinted tails, good idea)
Grill (I just gotta get rid of that OEM grill) (why?.... could be a good idea, depending on that u get)
Shortie antenna (Pretty sure this one's a gimme. I gotta get one..silver?) (good idea)
Eibach Sport System kit (Probably happening next summer) (good idea)
Window Tint (great idea)
Blue or White angel eyes? (eh, good idea)
Eyelines? Color? (black eyelines, good idea)
Chrome door handles (good idea if you get the gas ring and chrome headlights and fogs)
Rebadge (eh, good idea)
CF Hood? (good idea)
Any kind of paint job? (yea, go paint a fence, leave the car alone, black is great)
Body kit.. (If I find a nice cheap one on Ebay..) (don't get a cheap one! do your research and get a good one, then shop around for the best price. If you can't afford it, don't go buy some other one that is crap just cause you can afford it. If you're gonna do it, do it right)

I don't think most of the mods you listed are "rice" imo, they are just small tastefull things that if done right and consistant, could make your car damn sexy. But you sure listed a lot of things, I did not know you were rolling in $$$$ like that! If thats the case, then why get a cheap body kit?

Thank you guys so much! (I can go to sleep now) This really puts things in perspective for me now :D I'll be posting my plan of attack tomorrow..this is gonna be awesome.

oh yeah, and Nemo, I didn't realize painted calipers was a mentionable mod XD I've done them already as well. I was also planning on doing something with the gills, but I'm probably not gonna touch em.

Edit: One quick thing I gotta ask: Which would be better, black heads w/CC + black tails, or chrome heads w/CC + black tails? Would I tint the tails? Tint the heads if they're black?

another thing..would I go out and buy chrome head lights.. or are they just painted or something similar to that? Would probably be hard to find chrome 05s, imo.
and chrome head lights with tinted, black tails wouldn't look odd? I probably wouldn't tint the tails if I went with chrome head lights..

Sorry if I'm rambling, I'm kind of getting my ideas/thoughts out here :D
Would blue angel eyes look all right if they didn't match the other blue accents or Blue LEDs on the car? Anyone have problems matching up colors or anything (matching lights with lights, accents with accents, etc)?

You know the old saying ...... opinions are like a$$holes, everybody's got one. So go ahead and ask what people what they think but when it comes down to it your the one who will get up in the morning and walk out to your car.

ok there is nothing wrong with chrome rims. especially on black, what r u crazy? I have chrome on my silver tib and it looks sooo sexy.

oh yeah, what's wrong with chrome tails, eh? I think having chrome head lights, but black tails would seem kind of weird. I like the black head lights and tails, but chrome lights with clear corners on black just looks clean and sweet to me.

IMO:
Chrome headlights=classy
Chrome taillights=tacky
Tinted taillights=Sexy & Stealth
Painted Headlights to match paint=subtle & tastefull

But you have an 05, so you would have to go out and buy 03-04 lights to do clear corners or paint them. Since you have a Black 05, I say just keep your stock lights, unles you just hate the idea of keeping something that is stock. But why change something that already looks good?

Instead of going chromie, I would go stealth... everything black...
Black corners, black headlight bezels, custom clear tails tinted, and gunmetal/hyperblack rims. Then get some eyelines, a lip kit and drop the ***** 2".

Would look fawkin evil.... kinda like this:

as a guy who also has chrome rims, they match the car really well with chrome headlights and fog rings.
Personally I like the chrome on black look. Those rims aren't my favorite, HTown...but I like the look of the car overall.

The_Third - Please, Please, Please do not paint your headlights blue...I almost vomitted when I read that.

I had tinted tails before, but one got busted out and I went back to stock. I kind of like the stock better...gives some contrast to the back of the car. And they definitely match the CC and chrome bezels on my headlights better.

If anything, I would say you need to choose between the chrome look and the blacked out look. I don't really like the chrome on front, tinted on back. If you choose the chromed look, CC your headlights and paint the bezels silver or chrome (like HTown's). Then either leave the tails stock, do the red outs, or (*gasp*) get some euros if that's you style (disclaimer: this isn't to my taste...but maybe it's his...and you know, maybe that's ok). If you choose the blacked out look, get some night shades and just tint the hell out of headlights and tail lights. Not sure if this would be the way to go with chrome rims, though.

Then...if you're looking for some blue accents...stick with blue calipers and underglow/gill lights if you want. Dress up the engine with some blue (intake, wires, hoses, maybe paint parts of the engine covers). Then blue LED conversion for the interior (dash), blue gauges, and maybe some underdash lights.

And you definitely need fog lights...I have a set for sale if you're interested. PM me.

I'm not about to switch out my rims, heh. If someone's willing to buy them for near-retail, but I don't have the kind of cash to buy a new set, they're only two or three months old.
I'm pretty much set with the chrome look. I'd go back and black it out after seeing all these race-type looks.
