so very true...many people have had to spend so much more than they paid for installing cheap ebay kits

but hey, I'm sure you could turn around and sell it on ebay and make a profit :3_winkthu in case things dont work out

kick and see if it breaks....if no break...your good to go....if break...get the hell out of there as fast as you can

all wide body kits are expensive as hell to install right because you have to mold/bondo the new fenders and quarters in, so basically you have to repaint nearly the entire car... completely badass looking if its done right, horrible if its done wrong, and to be honest, i could never justify spending 4k+ on bodykit/work on a 6k car....

and thats not even touching the fact that that specific one may have warpage issues, etc and you wont really know that until you fit it up really

its BAD bc it has taken several member thousands of $$$$ to make the kit even fit correctly let alone paint and prep work and random reinforcement that is typically needed on install.

My kit cost $1K to paint myself... and the fitment was perfect. Imagine paying a body guy $75hr for an extra week to two weeks worth of work just getting seems to line up correctly.

Its not worth it....

40hrs x $75/hr = more than I would want to spend on a kit that will just end up back where it first got installed due to the poor quality fiberglass/mold in the 1st place.

If you enjoy 2 hours of driving to purchase junk. You can probably find a local landfill closer.

We are all trying to help you. The kit is trash. Plain and simple. It will costs thousands to install, and hundreds if not thousands per year for upkeep.

honestly dude heres a plan.
buy the kit. on a day off take off some of the body panels on your tib and line up the new body kit to see how off it is/how much holding needs to be done/etc. If you dont feel like putting the moeny into it after you tried lining it up. Re-sell it locally for $250. $220 profit sounds good minus gas to pick it up.

I was thinking of buying this kit at one time too, until I found out the things that these guys with the know are trying to tell you now. I ended up with a Carart kit through Mike at Import Shark and have never been happier with the quality.

put it this way... I have the zefiro gt widebody kit... one of the best fitting best quality kits for our car... its almost $2k shipped and all... I was getting the average estimate for around $4500 to have it painted and installed from most body shops... and thats with this being one of the best fitting kits... I cant imagine how much that would be to install... that is THE worst fitting kit made... not only that, most guys have a lot of trouble getting the wheels to look right once the kit is installed... everyone always has there wheels way to sunk in and say for some reason its hard to get them flush with the fenders (not sure why) but guys have installed this kit but I just cant even imagine what kind of estimates you'd get for that thing... just my .02 cents

a friend of mine has this on his car, he bought it that way, it looks very ricer-ish, he scrapes everything with it and he has 19'' rims and stock suspension.. the kit sits wayy too low and the sides(quarterpanels) dont flow well with the car and its lines. /thread
