i wish someone had a clip of how it sounds without putting on a magnaflow cat, but ya'll keep saying they will have to cut out the race cat, why would they do that when its just bolted on

It's frikken loud, it sounds like a bumblebee gettin it's nuts squeezed when ya throttle it, and the drone will drive ya absolutely batshit. But like UnholyTib said Put a magnaflo where the bubble is (that would be the Cat) and it becomes a whole new animal and sounds so nice, that's what I did also :3_chubby:

 

yeah itll be loud... headers and exhaust with no cat is loud. I have heard SSA combo is the loudest with no cat but who knows. Do as another member said, put the exhaust on there and drive for like a week or 2 and if it sucks go get the hi flow cat. At first i hated mine but it grew quickly on me

 

If I were you, I would put the whole system on. If you like the sound...there you go, and if you dont like the sound, get a highflow cat (magnaflow etc.) and take it to an exhaust shop and get them to cut off the race cat and weld/bolt (they would have to make flanges) on the new cat. Shouldnt be more the 50bucks to have them swap them out. It would be sorta like a test pipe (cutting off something IE the muffler/cat/resonater etc.) and replacing it with a solid pipe (except your using a cat instead). Hope that explains it alittle better for ya.

 

ok so if i get that magnaflow, i have to weld it to the pipes?, cus i see u cant bolt it on, i have a race cat on, do i still have to take that off?, someone post pics of underneath the car cus i dont understand what ya'll r talking about

If you don't go with a cat, you definitely won't enjoy driving your car very much.

 

Take the stock CAT and have it welded in where the race pipe is... this will yield ( IMO ) one of the best sounding exhausts for the V6 Tib... very throaty, and no rasp

In that case...I have no clue. I have herd that the ssa is very raspy but im not sure. I was thinking about getting an ssa for mine but I think im going to stick to Borla. The CAI will sound good though (I have Injen CAI).
