After finding out my battery was dead, I checked beneath near where the battery was and found this circular grommet of some sort. It was not there recently until now. Can any of you identify and tell me where it goes?

The edges are clean so it does not look like it broke off a whole piece.

I believe that goes under one of the plastics that covers the top of the strut.

Can I place it back or will I need to take something apart?

Also is it important to put back?
