So I previously owned a 05 sunburst yellow SE 6 speed about 10 years ago and it was always one of my favorites out of the 30 or so cars I've owned throughout my life. Recently I bought a 2005 GS 5 speed with 140k for $1200. Had to throw a battery and a tire on it to get it home from 50 miles away. It does need some work so it's going to be a project but I'm happy to see this forum is still active. It seems a lot of other car forums have gone dead and moved to Facebook. So I will probably be on here to pick yalls brains on stuff. I've worked on cars over 20 years most of the time as a mechanic in shops before having health issues but will be doing all the work myself. First things will probably be timing belt, plugs and fluids, and rebuilding the suspension bc I can tell it's in need. I'm would like to upgrade anything for performance while I'm at it. Any recommendations on control arms and bushings?The car came with some 18 inch wheels on it but I was thinking of downsizing to some 17s. Right now I have a 17 off a 11-13 sonata that I'm using as a spare that I thought might look nice if I found a set. Sorry about the long post
