I'm heading out to Gingerman Raceway www.gingermanraceway.com in a few hours after i get off work here for their open 'Test and Tune' Sessions. Will be my first time on a road course. Should be interesting. Im going up there with my friend from work that drives an rx-8. Hoping there arent many people out there tonight so we can run pretty much as much as we want. If you are in the South West Michigan area come on out it would be sweet to see 4 or 5 tibs out there. Hopefully will get some pics up tomorrow depending on how much down time i end up having to take them. I'm outta here. later.

What time did you run? Your 60 foot time is what you should be focusing on above all else
I got a TERRIBLE time my first run.
And I may go try and make my first run w/ a M\T tonight and I imagine that will be pretty bad as well =P
edit: Oh it was a road course? Cool.. Wish I could get somethin like that going on around here.
How bad did you possibly do? =P Iunno maybe pay for some instructor time.

I did ok outside of not knowing d!ck about how to pick a line. I got the tires HOT ( 18 nitto neo gens) I got the brakes HOT for about 2 laps of one session. The brakes held pretty well the whole time thought. For what I have done to the suspension i thought it handled kinda badly. could have just been that i need better tires. I know a lot of it is my knowledge and ability as a driver. I KNOW that im underpowered in my n/a 4 banger but it took everything i had to hit 80 down the straights. Granted it is a short course that is very technical and not fast at all but still. My buddy in the rx-8 was consistantly, and i mean at very point on the track, 15-25MPH faster that i was. And he has the same amount of no prior experience.

As far as Westside MI, I think your f*cked. I don't know of too many people in Michigan that do any sort of get together.
Nick, Stephen, and I are the only ones that really meet and we are right around Detroit.
