Thanks NewTiburon!

I went with a GT. I weighed the facts on my 07 when I bought it, for an extra couple grand I get the upgraded engine (V6) and sick 17" rims. Not to mention the upgraded Sun and Sound package. If you can afford going for a V6 I would.
If you plan on upgrading your tib to go stupid fast, go with an i4, I heard they respond amazing with a turbo.
I like the sound of a V6 and prefer a supercharger over a turbo any day, just my personal choice.
Gas mileage, not gonna lie, little stinky. I enjoy driving my tib too much I'm at the pump every 3 days... but it's all worth it.
If you really want to go balls out I suggest an 08 SE with the 6spd AND vivid blue exterior, because the color is just gorgeous. I have a vivid blue on my GT but that's only available in Canada (sucka's).

If you have a plans for forced injection then go with a i4 since they take better to turbos. If you want to keep the car N/A (which is basic any mods except a supercharger or turbo) then go with a V6. My V6 gets around 24 mpg which is pretty good compared to other V6 cars in its class.

P.S. i4 is an inline four cylinder

Mine is a V6 i plan on doing only the simple N/A mods (I/H/E) on it. Hopefully in about 5 years I cant snag me a nice charger or nove and sup it up for a track car.

^^ is that even a post? bolding someone else's text? hell if this passes at NT, I need to seriously change my "post strategy"

Go for the V! It has enough power for a DD if that's what you're looking for. If you got alot of money and want to turbo the car, your best bet would be the i4, but imo if you're going to turbo a car for high numbers you're better off with something that has rwd or awd.

Anyway, I have the V6 6spd and have been getting 25 mpg the last several times at the pump, and if I drove my car, well normal, I could get 27 lol.

GT, gas mileage is ghey, overrated at the most...

chevy engineers when developing the new ZR-1

Chief Engineer 1 - Alright so lets throw this blower on there and well call it a day...

Engineer 2 AKA mr Ghey- But Sir, you only get 7 miles per galloon if you baby it?!

Chief Engineer 1 - GTFO NOOB!

Quotes may vary

Lol i used it as a reference of the V8 Gods and gas mileage.

Like shakespeare once said ... " You aint in it, until you got a big @ss V8 with a blower..."

quote may vary lol

got that right

Gas mileage depends on how you drive the car really..

The V6's MPG isnt all that terrible, but most people here, (and I aswell) tend to get aggressive on the throttle at times.. and shewwwwww! there goes the gas.

If I drive my car like an old lady would, I can keep a full gas tank for around a week and a half - two weeks.

The way i drive my car now, I go through a full gas tank in 3-5 days. (My work is also a good 25 miles away though, and I drive every day.. so I dont know.)
I found out that if you shift around 2.5-3.0 your gas milage is pretty good.

gas mileage depends on how you drive it, im sure most ppl have seen Top Gear where they raced a V8 BMW against a Toyota Prius and the gas mileage was virtually the same because the Prius had to push to its limit and the BMW took its time. Get the V6 hands down, you will love it

whoah.. haha i didnt expect all these comments in such a short time. but i appreciate them all! and mock, its induction, not injection.

and i think i've decided. haha im going to stick with the i4. i've always wanted to turbo a car, and i think this is a good start. thanks everyone!

Just to throw my .02 about V6 gas mileage... I just drove from New Bern NC to Charlotte NC on a full tank of gas and was left with 1/4 of a tank when I got to Charlotte ( I also took the long way New Bern-Raleigh-Rockingham-Monroe-Charlotte)... If you shift at 2.5-3.0 rpms you get great gas mileage city and highway... better than most other V6's I know of... Again just my .02

I'm V6 Supercharged w/out any fuel tuning. I boost around pretty good, and see about 380KM a tank. When I was N/A with headers and intake I saw around 410. As much as I love the V6, it is expensive to run & at times I wish I had the fuel economy of the i4. Overall, the V6 just sounds soooo nice with and without a blower on it, so I personally couldn't pass it up.

The I4 really is an amazing engine. You can push over 2 times the amount of PSI on the stock engine block than you can with the V6 (because it uses a cast iron block) :3_chubby: If you are interested in turbo'n the tib, the i4 is your best choice for boosting, by not having to do much internal work to support what you throw at it. I test drove one before I knew ANYTHING about the tib and went with the V6 because of the lack of power I found in the i4. If I only knew what it was capable of and that I wanted to modify my car hehe :3_shiny:

i4 defintly good..pro's and cons of everything i4 vs V6 or automatic vs manual

people have their own opinion in things. i4 is good for turbo, V6 is good for supercharging from what i've seen on this forum. their are some v6's that went the turbo route and i4's that went the supercharge route. it's all on preference.

but i'd prefer a i4...check out this video from an odler thread where an i4 killed a celica.

JD so against street racing lol remeber that thread about a members ticket? and the entire thing was me arguing with u and other people? lol and yet i still dont care. but yea for the OP

I have an 07 SE... v6... 6 speed. and i love it. when i fill completely like top top top it off i get 320 per tank... which doesnt happen cause i drive like an a hole and race celicas... lol but i just tskip 5th and go straight from 4th to 6th usually.... cruising at 65-80 get 34 mpg. the se has the multi guage that tells u.

ALL (mine and everyone ive talked to... including the dealer... and me test driving more) 07+ tiburons lifters click like a MOTHA!

JD do yours when u start? i never asked u about this... but do u get engine noise like clicking and shet when u start and sometimes drive?

For gas mileage... I average around 350-360 with a 2005 V6. I can add about 40 more miles if I drive like a dick in the left lane and shift at no more than 2k rpms.
