So I have a catback exhaust on my car, and the right muffler hangs a little lower and in than the left one, so I went to the shop and the guy said for 20 dollars they can fix it but the way that they will fix it is by cutting the exhaust and taking more pipe and welding it all back together. Does this sound like a good plan to yall? becuase im going to most likely go through with it just want to opinions.

if its just hanging a little lower, maybe the hangers need adjustment?

he looked at them and they hung correctly, its an ebay exhaust and its just the design of the exhaust

It won't hurt it but I agree that it sound more like a hanger just needs some adjusting.

Why not just cut the hangers and re-weld them? Cutting pipe and re-welding seems unnecessary.

Take pics of the exhaust from the axle back? Then we could see what you mean.

You can buy poly exhaust hangers with multiple holes to adjust the length. They cost about $20 each though.

Mine was a little wonky too I just bent what would bend and got different size hangers one size is longer then the other and the hanger on the exhaust its self I bent a bit till they were even. I wouldn't have it cut and re-welded
