Sup guys? I just got my tib earlier this week. It's a black 2005 SE... sadly i had to sell my old car in order to get this one and it was a giant step down for me. I had (still have but i cant drive it and somebody is supposed to be picking it up this week) 1992 Dodge Stealth R/T Twin Turbo AWD with a bit done to it. It made around 400 AWHP but it has a bad head gasket and i am 19 just starting college and i didnt have the time or money to be fixing a DSM lol they break once a week i sware. So I've been hearing good things about Tibs lasting a while well at least it should last me through college. I love the cars looks and such its just lacking in the power area but tough cookies. So i have a few questions with me being a tib newb.. going from 2 turbos to none is a big let down but i see that there are a few kits for S/C and turbo so that excites me for the future. And modding a N/A is alot different then a turbo car so...

1) The stock stereo that i have is that kenwood one. Is there any harness out there that i could buy to hook up my other deck? and would doing so void my warranty?

2) I can't afford to mod my car much so for now i was wondering if just an intake and exhaust would void my factory warranty?

3) Any of you from MN shoot me a message and we should meet up sometime. I like to see others with the same car is me.

Thanks guys!

Most dealerships will not cover any repairs if a malfunction is caused by an aftermarket part.

As the other member stated, just ask your dealership and they'll give you an answer.

Cool, i didnt know you could use just like the stock harness, i thought it would have to be special for some reason with it being the kenwood stereo. And ive had about 3 out of 5 bad experiences with ebay so i try to refrain from using it. Thanks for all the help guys. OH! and i almsot forgot to ask.. do i need firefox or something because OVER half of the pics on the DIY's and stuff dont work for me, they just show a red x..

How do you have a factory warranty on a car that's 3 years old? What was the mileage on the car when you purchased it? Used cars do not have factory warranties--only a 90-day dealer one, I believe.

Either way, changing the stereo won't void anything unless you manage to screw up your car's electrical system. A CAI and exhaust won't void a warranty on anything other than the pieces that you replaced. What this means is that if you put on an Injen exhaust, your stock exhaust's warranty is void. Of course, if you ever have a problem with the car, just reinstall the stock parts BEFORE giving the dealer a chance to see it.

Good advice, thats what we did with my freinds 07 mustang gt. We put a CAI on it and then he had something wrong with his tire pressure monitors so when he had to take it back to the stealership they were like wtf is this and then he was like **** and then guy just told him to come back with the stock intake on lol. The guy who sold me the car had a 7-year 100,000 mile warranty and it has 40,000 miles on it. The warranty is fully transferable.

Hey i live in MN. Not too far from Oakdale. I live in Brooklyn Center. Congrats on the tib. I have a black 2003 GT V6 tib. So far I have a Aem cold air intake, Mussa catback exhaust, 19" black rims with khumo tires(for the summer only of course), drilled rotors, and 8000k HID headlights. I bought mine with 35,000 miles on it as i was the second owner and only the 5 year 60,000 mile warranty was transferrable. It actually states that in the owners manual. Unless you bought some extended warranty i think you only have the 5 year 60,000 mile warranty. But none of my mods did anything the negate my warranty. I actually brought it in a few times to get a few warranty things fixed and had no problems with the dealership with warranty. I would be glad to meet up sometime. I don't have plans to supercharge or anything because there is a new hyundai genesis coming out in 2009 which is a rear wheel drive coupe with some engines to choose from including a turbo, so i think i might just wait for that. I love my tib right now though, it's been a great car. Let me know if you want to meet up sometime or if you have any questions.

Oh the raw stockness of that car haha. Those plastic pieces are so annoying but ide just rather keep it on since they didnt spiff up the look of the engine bay in any way.
