So here i am preparing my engine for a complete rebuild, and i plan on going for high HP in the 500+ range, so i was curious to know who have you all heard of having the highest Forced induction Tiburon

its not reaching them that is the problem... its your cv axles, transmission, differential is what tend to brake... high hp v6 i know of is Zion or something like that from PR he got like 440whp on stock block turbocharged i am sure there is some s/c guys up there in that range too but thats the only one i have heard of being a v6... there is several i4 that are way up in the range

Yeah i know that in most cases the 4cyl is the way most people go, but like you said there not many V6 Tib's out there that are in the high range, but i guess for good reason too i guess the 6 is not as reliable as the 4, but im sure with the proper prep and proper parts the 2.7 can be made into a "somewhat" bullet proof engine.

i have been in the Automotive trade as a Tech for the last 20 years and performance for the last 10 so yeah i do know about engines, i know what it takes to push that power and make all work together so, the point of the thread was to see what was out there.

Most concise manner for going about BIG hp #'s with the delta is to likely consult Tim with NGM.

He has built short blocks along with an array of head options, turbo and s/c applications. Building a 500 whp Delta V6 shouldn't be a problem if you don't mind dropping the cash for it.

Like OP have stated, controlling that power is the issue so quite frankly, reaching those power levels is gratuitous and in most practical senses pointless, unless you're trying to win a dyno contest for most hp.

The Delta crank is forged steel. Block has 4 bolt mains with a girdle. swap the pistons and conrods for high hp duty, give the heads room the breath and hell, you're making big power... 13+ thousand dollars later that is.

This thread is full of ignorance. =)

GL OP, and I cannot wait for you to break the sound barrier with your tibby ;)

We have to make a thread called " The dreams of tiburon owners" and then list every cool story bro thread of breaking the sound barrier in a FWD Tiburon .

Big plans always seem to die down in my 3 years of being on this site... anyone remember the guy that was supposedly starting his RWD conversion and then no one ever heard from him again lol?

Having a 400+ whp Tib was the most exspensive projext I've ever done and wont soon do again on a fwd daily driver again. I broke three transmissions 4 sets of axles(2 at a time) including some custom built half shafts .....killed 3 stg4 clutches within 4 months and just had a comepletely crazy time keeping fuel fed to it past the 7000 rpm point to the point that I was dead heading the pumps to keep up fuel demand at the topend.....and becuase of that I lost a pump during my best track run and the motor popped after three years of just getting beat to death.....and I completelyagree with Korean dude altho having all that hp was cool, it was completely useless on the streets without slicks:3_winkthu

Its a shame you guys in united states how you only think that NGM and Puerto rico guys can make big hp. As owner of 2 tiburons i will provide you the simple recept for 500whp

piston NGM have the ROSS ones
Connecting Rods i think is Pauter rods
main bearings heavy duty not USE OEM BEARINGS PLEASE
Ferrea cams Springs
and a custom turbo kit using a gt30r or gt35r
and a ecu that can control fuel and timing.
750cc injector
fuel press regulator
walbro fuel pump

in other thread i am selling my turbo kit for v6 i was making 427whp at 18psi with afr at 10.9 very safe on auto tranny just with ROSS piston inside nothing else AND I AM FROM PANAMA NO PUERTO RICO. Any question i will be happy to help anyone.

i Forget i only spend if i dont remember no more than $3000 or 3500 bucks. it dont seems to me a expensive inversion for a 427whp tibb on a very conservative tuning imagine with conecting rods and 25psi it will hit for sure the 500hp

And when you wake up from your lil dream that your having, you can read my sig and see that I had all of the NGM and Ross racing products available in my setup even including ported and polished heads with the 1mm over ferrarea stainless steel valves , The problem wasnt psi , the problem is fuel flow through the stock fuel lines....something else I have already remedied, but hey, you South American guys know everything , yet once again have no proof . So till then just another pipedream and all talk...sorry I call it like I see it :3_saai:
