Just a heads up. They are closing inventory and stopping production for all applications. I'm sad to see such a quality header fabricator leave the industry, but I know how much he has needed a vacation. John is one the biggest auto enthusiasts I have ever met.

It's a permanent vacation.

I don't know what the future holds, but if he decides to come back to the auto industry, I doubt it will be with bolt-on headers apps that overseas companies just copy and steal. It will probably be a more smaller venture with the sentra and se-r racing events, like the good ol' days.

Keep in mind they have unfilled outstanding orders still with paid members. I would be very weary sending a check or m/o with their current state. This is still after they nixed their vendors' orders like Flyryde and RR-racing.

I intentionally left their "closing inventory" prices/items out of my original post because I do not want to see more members getting ripped off.

Thought about headers for a long time and they were at the top of my list. Everyone on here loves them for their quality, BUT the reason I haven't bought them is they cost too damn much. You can still buy a set of Hedmans Headers or even maybe Hooker Headers from any speed shop for a 70 Chevelle for like 200 bucks or under. This price of almost 700 bucks for this product is just outrageous and that applies to DC and the others too. Don't like getting ripped off, so I guess I will stay stock.

this deal has been going on for almost a week... i have talked to John many times and he told me he still has A TON left in stock and really wants to push them out the door. The price for the headers with a cat was $265.00 but he bumped it up... We all missed that price :3_frusty:

Anybody have the number to make sure there is still a standing inventory?

Wow. So this means that the hyundai community will be losing another vendor. Looks like the aftermarket scene is just becoming smaller.

Where one falls another will rise. Plus they only made headers for are cars.... the DC sports are pretty much the same if not better.

What do you mean they only made headers for our cars. The made headers for other cars. Not to turn this into a pissing match but the hotshots are better than the dc sports headers.

I think he meant, headers are the only aftermarket item they make for us. Like they don't make cams, or intakes, or clutches, etc.

That's too bad, they make great headers.

Haha, yeah, that tax return is burning a hole in my pocket, it's just a question of if I'm feeling brave enough.

I sent them a few emails over the past 2 days and have gotten responses in quickly each time, for what it's worth.

I've been emailing john back and forth for a week now daily... the headers aren't ceramic coated but if you email him and ask he can point you to a company that will do it for you, just costs a little extra... I took the risk and ordered mine a few days ago and then posted in the forum I had ordered mine... as soon as I get my tracking number I will let you all know... they should be shipped Monday or Tuesday provided he has received my check...

You all can use me as the Guinea Pig for this subject...

Hotshot used Jet-Hot for the coating, as they are local and one of the only quality thermal coaters.

If John still had inventory, maybe he should send them out to those that have already paid him and have been waiting for the product.
