do you mean you have 2.5" exhaust piping that branches at the rear end to exit through 2x2" dual outlets?!
if this is the case, you should be perfectly fine, and remember N/A I4 will not give you 300hp even with the meanest modds

the other case, 2.5" continoued to 1x2" (single exhaust outlet).... then you need to replace that 2" part. And 2.25 or 2.5" shall be a very good size to put (not more)

it goes from the header at 2 inches then goes to 2.5 inches in the middle, then the last part of pipe is 2inches

2.5" is the best for N/A and its suitable for turbo to so thats why so many peole go that route.

in your case i would just do a new cat-back section in all 2.5 with a nice 2.5 muffler at the end so the whole thing is a straight through design.

BUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! if you go 2.5" on a i4 you need a resonator/glass pack/inline-muffler that is at least 20" in the mid section of the catback.

if you choose not to use it you will have horrible drone at idle and cruise and it will sound like poop if your not all the way on the throttle because the 2.5" pipe needs almost full throttle to full the pipe if you are just halfway gasin it, it will sound funny and you wont be happy

i actually have a glasspack now on her thats probaly right around 20 inches. so can i reuse this when i do the rest of my exhaust in 2.5?

I'm actually surprised that Crappy tire is allowed to sell that 'Chip' crap. Hmm...I'd turf that ASAP.

As for your exhaust, you're not really bottlenecked for the amount of air you're flowing through it with a near-stock N/A setup. If you go any bigger, you won't see any gains either. If you intend on getting a whole new exhaust sytem installed/fabbed up, I wouldn't go larger than 2.5". 2.25 or even 2.0 would be OK for your daily driver. Don't expect to pull any sort of significant extra HP out of your car with larger diameter exhaust piping. You still need a bit of back pressure, so don't go too large.
Hell..I ran 12 PSI with my turbo setup through a 2.5" ex. system, and that was sufficient.

My final say: Leave it as is. Spend your money on other more worthwhile upgrades if you're set on putting $ into your Tib.
