I just finished installing the sniper and my throttle is getting slightly stuck. I checked the pedal and there is about 2in of play before it kicks in. I also cant have the throttle cable on the rollers otherwise it gets stuck at 3000rpm and slowly comes down. I cant pull any more slack from the cable so I dont know how to adjust it.

There are 2 - 12mm nuts if I remember the size correctly on the throttle line. They're both on a threaded section. Basically, loosen them and move the corresponding nut forward or back to gain the space you need and then re-tighten so that they stay in place.

I did loosen the line as much as I can. If I go the other way it will tighten it more and be worse that it already is. And yes i did have to cut my hood. although my tb is jumping around like a sombtch. The spring vibrates alot at idle not when im moving.

bump... How do i adjust the play in the gas pedal? Ever since i installed the s/c, i have like 2 1/2 inches of play before it starts to pull the accelerator cable. Thanks, mike

then you gave it too much slack. you need to have it so that it has just a little slack, but doesn't create slop in the gas peddle. if you have it too tight, the car will want to race or stay at a particular rpm. also, with the car off, take the throttle cable off of the throttle body and make sure the throttle body opens and closes by hand with no binding. if it binds when it is shut or almost shut, try tightening one of the mounting screws an 1/8th turn and see if that makes it better. I have found if you tighten the tb too much at one screw and not at another, it can warp the thing a touch and create a sticking point.

either way, tighten that thing so that when it is installed, you have only a slight amount of slack... say 1/8" or so that you can move by hand before the throttle wheel moves... post up when you do so. you can't just go completely loose one way and expect it to fix itself. you need to tinker a little, and it won't take more than a couple minutes...once you know what is up.

oh, there is no reason the throttle cable shouldn't be on the rollers too. if the throttle body isn't returning back on its own to close, then maybe you need to tighten the spring on the throttle body... which is easy if you take the thing, rotate it tight one full turn and put it back together...

if you installed the supercharger yourself, this is not difficult, it just takes a little bit of small adjustments sometimes to get it in the sweet spot.
