Photo, you had more than I/E when you raced him tho. I think a Tib with I/E vs a Cobalt SS with a SC , the Tib SHOULD lose....unless the cobalt driver sucks...

I forgot to quote the guy asking about shaving a second off .... I'm not sure, it wasn't a track (either time) nor was I watching a clock and barely my spedometer. I do have a rev limiter upped to 8000 that the original owner did, but dumbass never had a mod otherwise on it so I don't see any point of it. I want to get my ecu retuned after I put on my stage 3 manifold, MAFterburner and nitrous hookup. make everything right

Just I/E will not beat a supercharged SS. They run mid to high 14s stock and you'll run low 15s with I/E

I need hotwires and new plugs to put in @ the same time I put on the ngm stage 3 manifold (en route as I type this). Saves me from pulling the manifold twice.

aer spark plugs just spark plugs, or do brand matter?
I'm getting Iridium ones, is that all that matters?

yeah the iridium plugs are good. just my opinion but with the hotwires i would go 1 step colder.

 

It's a driver's race, for sure.. hell I searched "Cobalt SS" on streetfire earlier and came up with a video where some n00b in an SRT-4 beat the n00b in the SS in the quarter mile.. 15.1 to 16.1... talk about horrid! My brother got a 13.9 in his stock SRT-4 and his buddy had a low-14 I do believe, when his SS was stock.

 

Its all about the driver, I whooped on a red ss s/c cobalt on the loop down here. But he was a horrible driver,i was in the right lane just driving regular and he came up next to me revving, and flew by... i figured a typical ricer drive by, well the minivan in front of me was going like 15 mph under the speed limit so i went around him and happened to catch up to the cobalt. He tried to take off i dropped it into 3rd and whooped on him. I heard his governer (wa-wa-wa Thats the sound of red lining every time he shifted. He was red lining ugly i hit 120 and he just gave up. only w/ cai, borla exhaust and sts... no clue what he had
