Do OBX headers have the o2 bungs in the right places or not? I've heard that they do and i've herd that they dont. So which is it?
OK man, here you go.....Come on now people i need answers from someone who owns a set!
I would check this again, as I thought that was the case at first too, but after looking further into it I found out that you can unhook the wiring harness from a little clip in the engine compartment and free yourself up a few extra inches of slack on the 02 wiring which will allow you to safely route the wires around the header without being close enough to it to do any damage and still plug in.I wasn't really expecting a perfect fit for the O2 bungs, but all 4 on opposite sides... to the point where the O2 sensors cannot reach the holes...
thats just sh!tty
No problem man... glad it helped... thanks for the +1Hmm looks like when i get home i'll have to really check mine out to see if they are "good" or not. Thanks guys. +1 TibbyTurnedTuscani
I saw you just posted up a for sale thread on these in an attempt to go turbo.... I would tell ya that if you are going turbo this summer than there is no need to install these, but it might be worth it if you are going custom turbo to just cut the ypipe from where these headers come down and have the piping for the turbo inlet routed. as then you'll have nice smooth headers to run to your turbo with, with the 02 bungs already welded in the primary locations.... you can cap the secondary's and put them farther downstream if needed since you'll need to fab up a downpipe and such for the turbo.Yeah man i saw that post, it's a bit more reassuring, but i'm still a bit leery about installing them. I don't think i'll need a pic (at least not yet anyway) i'll probably just end up selling them for what i bought them for. Although i was looking at a pic of mine and it looks like all the o2 bungs are in the correct places.
Lol... no worries :3_nosthumIf this works, sexual favors will be exercised. ( j/k )
