yea, the same thing happened to me a while back. It showed a picture of the tube, and it even said "comes in blue, red, silver, black" I paid 80 bucks for it. I tried to fight it but it was finals week, so didn't want to bother with it. Just go CAI.

 

That's ridiculous.


Besides you can probably find used CAI's for $150-170...

 

yeah, i got took on that one too, except in the catalog i ordered thru( arospeed) at that time didnt say just fiter and bracket. so i assumed it came with a pipe till i called them on it... nope, just filter and bracket. they said that the short ram pipe doesnt make any more horses than just the stock tube...but i'll disagree, theres a HUGE difference. i made my own piping from a Civic tube and love it for a short ram. but cai is even better

 

I bought my CAI from those people. It came sealed in the box with all parts. You ordered the SRI which really isn't an SRI at all.

That is crap if it was in the description saying you get pipe then you should have gotten pipe!!!( that did not sound good at all) Any who I would fight it and keep a copy of the sale and tell ebay and pay pal they will get your money back!!

You're not the first and definitely won't be the last....next time before you go to purchase something try and ask a member here that you trust if it is worth the money....most people here would not hesitate to help you with a qusetion like that.

This is why many MANY websites say "generic model shown, actual model may vary". It's a webmasters way of saying that the're untouchable

You bought the same AEM sri i bought. Do the same as me, order a real cai

Still too bad a reputable company such as AEM came up with this.

Doesn't matter if the webmaster has some stupid disclaimer. Websites are required to advertise truthfully like everyone else.


For example, I can't sell my car saying "barely used, only 1000 miles!!!" and then expect to be okay by just putting in a fine print disclaimer saying "odometer claims may not be accurate.."

If they say that the picture might not represent the product, you got nothing. If it actually says in the auction that you get the pipes, then fight it. If all it says is that you get the filter and hardware, you got nothing.

Right there is where they got you. You really have to be cautious and read auctions over a few times. The seller really isn't being shady either. This is the actual SRI that AEM sells and I am sure he uses the same right up for all AEM SRI's for all vehicles, hence the "*Package for AEM 22-521 Consists of filter and bracket only, not available in colors"

It contradicts itself. One part says one thing, another says something different. That is at best deceptive. Seriously, file a fraud complaint with ebay.

 

At least you got a cool license plate frame and stickers. They are worth 100 bucks alone.
They are dyno tuned and everything! Install them and you get 20hp.
