Is there anyone on this site with a Tib or any type of car for that matter in MS?? just wonderin

Very Few from what I have seen, There may be like 5 or so Tibs here in the Mobile area .... I have seen even less in the Mississippi area .... And the ones I talk to don't come to the site very often ... You know .... They don't get into the whole computer thing I am guessing ... Where in Miss. are ya ....

Yeah thats not bad man .. I live down near Dauphin Island ... there are a couple of guys I talk to around here, that actually do something with their cars ... You need to come down on a Friday or Sat. night, off of Airport Blvd ... a few of us hang out there or, we go to the dragstrip ... we'll have to all get together sometime ...

 

I may do that this weekend or next, I been trying to find people with Tibs around here but most of the people I see with them just want to keep them stock. PM me and let me know where you all meet up, I have no idea where the drag strip is, and I'll try to make it over there.

 

As soon as I find out what is going on this weekend I'll send you a PM on it .... My car is in the shop right now having some final touches done to it .... I should have it back by tomorrow .... so yeah that means hitting the streets this weekend for sure ....

Just to give you all a heads up there is a huge car show ... mostly, classics, but imports can come also ... usually you only see a few there ... It is going to April 1st @ Bellingrath Gardens here in Mobile ...

One more thing, I went to a car show about two years back in mobile that was mainly imports at the big baseball stadium (Hank Aaron i think) it was in the fall and it was pretty good, they had it set-up pretty nice, BMX riders doin crazy stuff, bikini contest, rapper on stage etc. Does anyone know if they still have this show, I havent heard anything about it in a while, I may be wrong but I think they called it the nightlife 2 or something like that.????

Yeah I went to that a while, back ... I haven't heard anything about it as of yet this year ... but I will ask a few friends that are into those shows quiet a bit .... and let you know ....

 

O one more thing, where is a good place in the mobile area to get my car dyno tuned, I'd like to see what kind of numbers its putting out

When would you liek to do that .... I am planning on having mine tuned as well .. really the only dyno in Mobile ... Is Total Performance Center , near the dog Track ... A Tib guy works there as well so you may want to give them a call tomorrow, and talk to Josh ... when you do let him know you talked to me, and see if we can work a deal with them and maybe do it Sat. or Sun. Or one afternoon ...

I am also getting my wheels aligned as well while I am there, since I lowered my car ....

I believe it is like $150 or so an hour, with unlimited pulls ... They also have another deal, I can't remember how much but you get two pulls, one for HP and Torque the other is a simulated 1/4 mile.

 

If I do it Im gonna wait till I replace my clutch cuz its slipping pretty bad right now, ( Anyone have any suggestions on a good but relatively inexpensive clutch let me know) I think my car is running rich now also, but since I got my headers put on you can smell a little gas outside the car and my exhaust tips are getting this dingy brown color if I dont wash it for a few weeks and its hard to clean off. One more thing, would it be my clutch making a clunking sound when I am easing off the clutch w/ little or no gas, its kinda loud and hasn't done this before my clutch started acting up.....Damn at the problems!! :3_nooo: But as soon as I get my clutch fixed I say we have some kind of meet for all the tibs or other cars in the area and head to the dyno and or the track, just something cuz its boring as hell being the only tib around here, and there is like only one other import in Wabo.....the rest....******** in four-wheel drives ha ha :2_rolleye

 

I am trying to set up a Dyno day with a local performance shop, the manager there said that if we have 3 or more vehicles show up the cost to dyno would be $100 for a full hour. I don't think anyone can beat this deal .... If you are interested contact me with your information either by PM or at 3dzer0@gmail.com ... We are looking at sometime within the next week or so to doing this ...
