The problem is this...

This test is a rock and a hard place...

If the SSA intake makes same numbers or better, it's not as pretty as the NGM, and it's cheap
if it makes lower numbers, its because the NGM manifold is better

So, there is no way to win.. but then again, is anyone putting an NGM manifold in to this test, or are you going with published numbers on an unknown dyno and unknown mods?

By looking at both manifolds, I honestly think the SSA will outflow the NGM, just based solely on the welds inside the runners... so... without a real world test, and including the NGM manifold on the same test engine.. this will never really be solved...

The NGM camp will just say thier manifold would have made more power yet on your test motor... You are arguing with a rock...

It does look like crap and they did no R&D themselves. HOWEVER like said the appearance can be changed and if the gains are worth the price then its all good. I feel like I'm running around in circles.

lol. I think I have a easy car. My filter has fallen off without me knowing it and I drove it around not knowing until it started to idle a little rough. But never a cel. My car likes me and what I do I guess.

NGM owners are continuing this.. but everyone else has the right to defend themselves against nonsense - No one wants to think they spent to much and got had... so, be happy with your intake and stand back and see what happens with this test... We all know the NGM intake is a nice peice.. but it has no reason to be even mentioned in here - but in defense, it will be...

Oh and I think you do need to trade for another tib because I have had SSA headers on for 15,000 miles in all kinds of weather, hot and very cold. Plus 1900mile cross country non stop driving trip that gave me not ONE cel since day one of them being installed. All that was done was 02 sensors being plugged in where they were supposed to be. No extending past cats or extending at all. :3_winkthu Your situation has me saying WTF?

Well, if I weren't so upside down on payoff, it would already be gone. The truth is I need something bigger for my family and the new baby! I've been trying to get a Trailblazer SS (cuz I don't wanna sacrifice speed.. ) I've also considered a used MazdaSpeed 6. ....but me thinks I'm stuck with this car for a couple more years so it needs to be fixed one way or another.
