Well first off let me start by saying that this is NOT ANOTHER TURBO VS S/C thread. I know the difference in price/performance/installation.

I have an 06 i4 tiburon with around 59k on her and I really want to go f/i. however this car is my year round car for commute at school and back home for atleast the next 2 years and I really need to know if it's worth doing this to a car i'll most likely be driving in the snow a few months out of the year.

thanks for any help
my flamesuit is on lol

well my goal is to build a consistent drag car i can bracket race every weekend as well as having a street car with some muscle.

upkeep and stuff isn't really an issue i'm pretty dedicated to keeping things in good shape

yeah that seems to be the theme behind the tib lol, you live once so do what you can with the money you have. i really dont want a winter beater because i drive 2.5 hours home then back to school once every few weeks and i want something i can rely on

i SAY GO FOR IT!!!!! How much boost you looking to run? If your gonna be running low boost it shouldnt matter in the conditions you drive it. just get some good tires and you should be fine

My 05 Tib has been SC since it was 6 months old, 85,000 miles now. Very reliable and way more fun than when it was NA. Boost makes the 2.0 think it's a 3.0 and I still get great gas mileage.

It's my DD and it sees snow in the winter. I have a set of winter tires and no problems in the snow.

dmdicks for president?!?!?!?!?

no but honestly i like the whole idea of low psi in the winter, still keeping good mileage on my frequent trips from home/school and being able to run in that 14psi range at the track on the weekends.

thanks for the input i was just extremely curious to see if it's worth doing to a car that sees every season
