I agree! While that hood design looks FANTASTIC, and the function of CF has its obvious benefits, I have one big complaint about the use of CF hoods:

Since most don't paint them (to show off the fact that they have CF), it makes it look like there was damage to their original piece, so they went to the junkyard and pulled a hood off a different color car. You frequently see cars from time to time, with different color quarterpanels, or doors, or hoods, or whatever, where that's exactly the case. To me, CF hoods look like that.

Regardless, though, I love the design of this hood you got! Looks awesome! (I'm with orangecrush though...I would get it painted! Of course, ultimately, that's your call and about what you like.) Nicely done!!

Dude....that looks freakin SICK!!!! You should think about painting the sides. That is one nice Hood man. Goes great with the orange.

 

I actually am thinking about painting the hood sides ( like yours, ready2play), and going over the rest of the hood with candy orange (with no basecoat) to tint the CF orange.

 

Dude..no. Just do the sides. Teh black CF is secks with the orange. For real......just paint the sides. I have suddenly decided to get this hood now as well. Just listed mine as possibly for sale, and posted my interest in the GB. I just hope it works with the Stage 4, as well as the Assassin.

 

This hood won't work with the assassin. I bought it off of Tibby03, who has the assassin kit. You'd have to cut the top support up by the hood. (The underside is a mold of the factory hood)

 

If I were to cut the top...I would only have to cut the underside of the "stock" looking area, right?

holy **** thats just i mean whoa. thats the hottest pics ive seen of a tib in a while the cf against the orange is pure sex. i would not paint that at all the black against the orange its just teh hotness.

It would be hard to do without cutting into the hood... I would strongly advise an expert. lol

Oh....it would definately be a professional job. I am just curious if it can be made to look clean underneath for shows. Do you have any full underside pics?

Today I had my exhaust bolted on, and installed my new hood with a friend.

Here's some preview shots, the whole shindig can be seen here, with more pics to come in a few days. (My friends camera is much better than mine... )

Looks awesome on the OC man! IMO though it is too busy maybe for the stock body kits, I only say that though cause I have seen it on a tibby with a kit and it looked really good, but on your OC wow that is nice!

Side note that pic of your tib in the parking garage with teh palm trees is TEH HOTTNESS MAN!
