Nov. 17th Ft De Soto, FL Meet

I have organized a meet for us Floridians at Fort De Soto State Park. This is about 15 minutes away from Tampa, and directly next to the Skyway. November 17th
Some fun facts about my area, and Fort De Soto:
1. I don't have to drive far
2. Cheap Hotels surround the area. Along with camping at the park if you're a nature lover.
3. Kegs are $98 + tax, 24 packs are $18.67
4. We have 4 areas close by that supply fairly nice nightlife; Ybor City, St. Pete Beach, Downtown St. Pete, and my favourite, the Clearwater Beach Bar Hopping Experience
5. Extremely nice weather, the park has beaches, pavilions, campsites, fishing spots, and you can bring alcohol as long as its not glass.
6. I don't have to drive far
7. Neither does speedy

If you are too poor to afford a hotel or campsite, I'll charge you $20 and you can stay in my RV, it is a 1972 Stanley Streamer, it is custom, does not run.

If you want to know the nicest/cheapest hotels, you can personally ask me.

This is 1 spot before Fort De Soto where we could meet up at or stay.

There are a few shelters left that I can reserve, the fee is $50, if I can get 5 people to 100% confirm that they WILL be at the meet, I will reserve a shelter out of my pocket.

We can now discuss who is actually going to go, and where the travelers can meet on the way, I live about 30 minutes north of Ft. De Soto so anybody coming from Tampa or anywhere north can meet up with me on the way.

I'll put in to get the day off. May be hard since Simply Clean is the weekend before (took fri, sat, sun off for that).

I vote move It to OBT in Orlando and change #7 to my name. I probably won't be going. Might if I quit my job which has a 75% chance of happening if my boss screws me over like he said he'd do lol.

I am not sure, usually people jump all over the meet threads because they never happen. Maybe no one wants to meet in central Florida? We just have to wait, once Maria posts in this thread it should get some more activity.

haha, the pink rims are gone, I have white ones on now. Somebody bet me I wouldn't put pink rims on, so I had to. We should meet up sometime, I haven't actually seen a turbo tiburon in person before.

Well I'm waiting on my charge pipe to be returned. I have a retune on Wednesday. Import face off on Sunday. Maybe in between that we can have a little meet with some folks or something. I go to CCC on Saturdays, maybe then.

i'll be going depending on a number of things:
1 - the tib might sell, will go on the bike then
2 - might have to work
3 - might get a real job instead of this stupid part time ****, (might not live in florida anymore)
4 - you just assume i'm going?!
5 - sometime this month i'm going to UT to meet with an adviser about their MBA program, i can meet you that day for the rims. also send me some pics 386-747-6103

UT is nice. Will do on the pics, the paint isn't the best, I only put 2 coats of rattle can ( pink rattle can ) on it, but the rims are good. One or 2 road rashes.

Yeah, I just assume you will come. You have to get the best out of Florida before you go to Australia

I might not have the tib for this meet either, if I find a buyer.

Might be auctioning something else besides the rims at the event, the buyer came through.

BBQ is most likely going to happen, they have grills all over that park, I will 100% for a fact be bringing beer.

Lol okay, I'm getting.my charge pipe today and my re tune tonight. So the tib should he back and running. Just have to get my A/C running again :/

if you dont mind an elantra coming to the meet i would be up for the short drive from bradenton to there, may see if my friend david will come with me he has almost the same car as me and there's an elantra in tampa i think

but let me know if its ok to invite them

Yeah man the more the better. Look in the import face off thread for the meet up spot. Just post in there letting him know your coming.

Anyone who wants to go PM me. I am leaving at 0700 to meet up with the rest of the members at 1000 and from there we are leaving to the show. It begins at 1100.

im gonna say f work, ill show up for a bit if i manage to do my timing and water pump before then. The last time i set out to Tampa my water pump didn't make it there. Or me.
