nah the legal tint in NY is 35% not 70%... if u dont want tickets stick with 35... i was thinkin about gettin 20% done on mine

 

35 -40 % is still dark but not too dark in ny. i have 35% in the front and 25% in the rear, it looks good and i have had no problems with cops at all. after driving around with it tho i wish i went darker all around. my last car had 5% on it so it seems too light for me now.

i am actually impressed that you knew that it was 70% in ny, nobody seems to know that BEFORE they get a ticket and its too late.

i got nailed in my brothers car for 35%, i was so pissed. i got a "talking to" from the cop and he gave me the whole rundown on whats legal and whats not. ofcourse that didn't stop me from putting 35% on my car

Now i am also not a pro with tint obviously, but the place im getting it done is using Solar Gard... is there anything i need to know or ask when i get it done? Such as if the tint will fade to a diffrent color, or the hue of the tint (green, purple) etc...? I just want to have the tint look good for a long time!

Tint fades purple when you use windex on them.. It also faded purple when its ****** film.
