Where did you buy your body kit from, and what did you get for a kit? I'm buying one from ImportShark in a month or so, just currently thinking of ways to smuggle it across the boarder! ; ) I have about a 2 1/2 hour drive to pick it up in Caribou Maine, not a big deal, it'll be at a relatives spot.I called around to get some quotes.
It's really weird. I must have called about 10 places, including 'tuning shops'.
Only one place said they would even consider painting a fiberglass bodykit, and even then they wanted to look at a sample of the kit before they said they would do it.
I guess because FG kits for the most part are shyte, they can't guarentee the work. Plus, the guy told me that most cars that buy body kits are older cars, like mid/late 90s Intergras and Civics... and of course the bodykits are gonna be crap.
Anyways, if everything fits perfect, and we can get it fitted nicely, I can get it painted for $500-$700 (sanding and priming included). If it requires any body work, looking at upwards of $1500... in which case I will have to wait till next year to install cause after getting that kit over the border, I'm broke
So I'm praying that it will fit snug as a bug. Or we can make it fit with a few modifications.
If anyone has any bodyshop suggestions on where to get it painted, PLEASE let me know!
Well that sucks! But i might know a shop in Quyon QC, it would take about an hour to get there tho! Let me find out and i'll get back to you on sundayGamz said:I called around to get some quotes.

freshness said:I'm in. Don't forget the freshness, cause nothing is as good without it. Im working on my extra speaker assembly tonight but I haven't started yet so I don't know how well it'll go. Someone that knows better let me know if this'll work
I plan on running the amp to the two back speakers and the new one's that I'm sinking into the parcel tray, the front speakers will still run off the h/u. Is this possible and is it hard? Otherwise I'll run the amp only to the new speakers and make the lamest (that's not a real word, what was I thinking) subs ever. I'm gonna try to make it out to princess auto tomorrow to grab that amp kit. Any one in particular that you guys suggest or are they all the same?
