Since there isn't one can we sticky this and get everyone out there who has a set of tires non-Michellin Pilot sport that come stock. Everyone keeps asking about different tires and I'm gonna need some new rubber soon so here's what you should do.

Brand:
Model:
Size:
Brief Review of Handling, road noise, durability (based on the miles you've put on them), wet weather handling, etc.
Any other info you might want to provide in terms of cost and overall value for your money.
Finally, give a good indication of whether you'd buy them again or if you'd gladly give them away if you could afford to throw money away on new tires whenever you want.

**Mod please sticky**

Brand: Yokohama

Model: Ice Guard's

Size: 205/55/r16 on Original rims for the i-4 2004.

Brief Review of Handling: Winter Tires - Great traction - on snow - Ice - slush.

Road noise: Music always at MAX???

Durability: Very Good.

Best bang for the buck - $802.00 Cnd for 4 tires installed.

I see these suckers lasting 4 or more years easy.

brand: Falken

model : FK-451

size: 215/45r17 rolling on stock rims

handling: ok not very precise doesn't hold corners very nice

road noise: terrible can't stand the noise, need bigger amp

durability: average, for z rated

decent braking and wet weather performance.

not bad for cheap tires but the pilots are better in every category other than price.

happily give these away as I won't buy falken's again unless there azenza

Dunlop Graspic DS-2 Snow Tires
215/45/17
600 for all 4 installed
Handling: Dry- Poor, Snow/Ice/Rain - Excellent
Durability - High

I've had fun with these tires, and have done some aggressive driving on dry pavement [which is a no-no for snow tires, cause of the soft compound] and these show no signs of wear yet

Excellent winter tire..

Brand: Yokohama
Model: Pirada Spec2
Size: 245/45/17

Dry handeling is excelent, stickiest of the icky
Wet handeling needs some improvement
A-symetrical look is kick ass

Widthstood driving them to baldness, never had a flat, took a lot of abuse with no problem
Road noise is fine provided you have them rotated regularly.(id say 2 rotations minimum)
Lasted 19,000 mi of HARD DRIVING.I could easily see gettin 20,000 from them if i didnt beat on em so bad.

I would definitely buy yokohama again, but im going with something that has better wet traction, i will be putting on ES100's in the spring, hopefully they will be worth the extra money

Brand: Hankook
Model: K104
Size: 225/45/17
Brief Review of Handling: Great! Very sticky tires on wet and dry :)
Road noise: low :)
Durability: Good

Best bang for the buck - $350 for a set of 4 shipped! I do not see you finding a better set of tires for the money!
I just ordered the new K106 tires, they have a higher treadwear rating and I will review those next. I am truly hooked on the Hankook tires after 2 very bad experiences with Yokohama tires and a bad experience with Nitto tires.

Brand: BFGoodrich

Model: G-Force KDW2

Size: 225/45R17

Brief Review of Handling:
Dry Traction- Excellent. Totally different handling characteristics compared to the stock Pilots. Going with a wider tread width should be required when you get these tires. Cornering speeds have increased, haven't noticed many instances of breaking traction.
Wet Traction- Great. Been driving in the rain the past few days here in SoCal and haven't had any issues. No instances of losing traction at freeway speeds (80mph+), very good control. Cornering on wet pavement hasn't been a concern, have hit a few turns (stoplights and highway on/off ramps) faster than I thought I should have with no problems.

Road Noise: Nothing to complain about. Keeping the radio turned up and the Borla exhaust seems to cover any additional noise from the tires.

Durability: So far so good. Have about 9,000-10,000 miles on them with a couple rotations. No noticeable "unusual" tread wear yet.

Price: All four installed for about $640 at CostCo. Price included mounting, lifetime balancing, lifetime rotation, lifetime flat repair, lifetime air pressure checks, new rubber valve stems & road hazard warranty.
http://www.costco.com/Tires/Product...=All&MN=&cat=3960&MNo=0&Prodid=10035364&Aspect=45&Diameter=17&Speed=Y&Width=225

Appearance: The tread pattern is different from what most of the other tire manufacturers are producing. Big blocky pattern instead of the conventional symmetrical lines radiating out from the center radius of the tread. Almost looks like an off-road tire at first glance and I have received comments about that several times.

"Buy Again" or "Give 'Em Away": I would definitely buy these tires again to replace the ones I'm running now. Highly recommend to anyone else looking for new treads for the Tib.

Brand: Michelin

Model: Pilot Alpin PA2

Size: 225/45R17

Brief Review of Handling: This is a snow tire.. very impressed with traction in the snow, slush and ice. I was ran off the road when Chicago recieved 8 inches came to a complete stop in the mud/snow.. about 6 or 7 inches deep on an incline..no problems getting out..

Decent handling on the road dry or wet, not ment for hard cornering... theywill slide if pushed around a corner

Road Noise: not bad... slight hum

Durability: great... i have around 5000 miles on these.. the only wear is the front two on the side of the tread on wear from cornering... the rears look barley used.. no wear they have several more season left in them..

Price: installed with rims for the winter....$1100, with stems, mounted balanced and liftime replacement certificates through Discount Tire

"Buy Again" or "Give 'Em Away": I would defintily buy these again...

brand: Yokohama
model: Avs ES 100
size:225/45zr/17
brief review of handeling: handling is quite good, no too much road noise from the tires themselves, pretty nice grip on twisties and very nice ride in wet weather as well

durability: not too great for the price, the passenger side tire is wearing out already, but all in all a good tire

price with them installed with the rims that I own around 1200

buy again or give them away: I would buy them again, or consider hankook tires in the future.

Brand: Pirelli
Model: Pzero Nero M+S
Size: 215/45/ZR17 on stock 17's
Handling: Awesome. Sticky and very grippy.
Road noise: Very little. Quiet ride.
Durability: Treadwear has been good. They are slowly going bald as of now, but I predict these Z-rated tires to last 30k :). In rainy weather, hard to break loose moreso than the pilots. Very grippy.

The price was around $600 for all four and after mounting/balancing. I'd buy these again, but I always like to try different tires when it comes time ;). I will probably be getting some Toyo Proxes 4, in 225's, next time around.

Got the same tires. Very happy with them.

Would like to add that they perform decently in snow. I drove in that crazy blizzard in chicago area (feb 1st 2011) when it was happening. I backed out of 2-3' high snow drifts. I only ended up getting stuck on this last back road because the snow compacted under the frame (snow on the side of the road was eye level when I was sitting in the car lol).

I can't compare them to my previous snow tires (hankook ipikes) because they were studded and did such an awesome job on snow and ice, but these pirellis do the job with one major benefit.. you can use them all year long!

Brand: Kumho
Model: Supra Ecsta 711
Size: 17 7.5 215
Handling is amazing. Durability is top-notch. These tires keep their durability in normal driving conditions, but once they're heated up, they handle like no other. Road noise is minimal as well.

I received these tires on a special promotion (Kumho last year wanted to introduce the tire to a large audience). I paid very little for them, and bang for buck is extraordinary!

Brand: Fuzion
Model: ZRi
Size: 215/45/17

Handling: I'm not an expert on tires but these things won't let go of the road. I have a nice curve before my complex and I keep taking it faster and faster and these tires really won't slip. Wet isn't too bad but I really don't drive it too hard in wet. I have driven pretty fast while it's raining on the highway and there was zero hydroplaining. Noise isn't very noticable and these tires are W rated.

I fell on to these out of desperation cause I had a hole in my stock tires that couldn't be repaired and at the time the airforce base had a sale on these. So I bought one out of lack for money and I decided to get three more when there was more money. I went to a Firestone dealership and got these for about 95 each and I'd get them again. For the money and the traction you can't go wrong. Only complaint is I keep getting nails in my tires. Can't really blame the tire for constantly driving on roads that have a lot of construction on them.

Brand: Hankook
Model: Ventus HRII
Size: 215/45/17

Handling: These are not Z rated so they are not quite as sticky as some of the other tires her but they were more than enough for the street and the wear was great. They lasted 2 summers where as my Pilots only lasted one.

THey were about 1/3 of the price as well. They were $125 Canadian each installed and balanced.

I had a set of these as well, they last forever and the grip is very good. You can find them for around $75/tire in the USA. For a grippier tire the K104 is better but it wears faster. For a good compromise the K106. The HRII seems to do better in the rain though.

Brand: Falken
Model: Azeni Sport
Size: 225/45 front and rear
Handling: Outstanding cornering, acceleration and braking.
Other: I had mine heat -treated before I installed them. That made them handle better and wear more evenly. I seriously kicked butt with these in autocrosses.

Make: Essenza (Offshoot of Goodyear)
Model: Type R
Size: 225 40 18 ZR
Handling: Decent on dry blacktop and concrete. Good grip on corners with directional tread.
Wet Handling: Good enough to keep you on the road but don't press your luck.
Road noise: Need 12" subs while driving on the interstate.
Durability: Tires seem to be holding up quite well. It has been 7 months and around 5k miles with minimum wear. I dont beat on them every day, but I take corners fast often. Nice even tread wear.
Cost: Were part of a rim package. Price was listed as $150 per tire but the rims were priced $75 less than other companies which leads me to belive that lower cost of rims was made up for with higher priced tires.

Brand: Goodyear

Model: Eagle F1 GS-D2 (European)

Size: 215/40/17

Excellent lateral traction. Even better wet traction. Completly sux in snow, but were better than
bald pilot sports.
Somewhat more road noise but not too bad.
Had a lot of excelleration bounce with them but have since installed poly engine mounts and that took care of that problem.

Paid $350.00 with shipping from Ebay store "Select Tire"
Had them mounted for $61.00 from Goodyear.
Total.....$410.00 for all 4 mounted and balanced!
If you use them mention " MEGJAY36 " for me, hopefully I can get a discount next time.

Brand: Kuhmo
Model: Ecsta ASX
Price: $111each
Size: 215/45/17 oem

Excellent in wet or dry conditions, very nice quiet ride, way better than the stock piot sports. Rated at 420,a,a
A step up from the Kuhmo ecsta 711. The tread pattern is nothing extrodinarily pretty , however the grooves and tread are so deep that I believe these tires will last for a very long time.

Also note these tires have so much tread on them that they look like 225 series !!

At Discount Tire the Package was a total of $550 for all four tires, tax, disposal fees, and replacement program.

I'll keep this updated,,,but so far only about 50 miles

I just got the 225 17 Kumhos and will be putting them on in a few weeks. Very glad you gave them this good of a rating.

Nitto
Neo Gens

HANDLING-Pretty damn good, though nothing to write home about.

NOISE-moderate. If your on a noisy road its pretty bad.

DURABILITY-Seems good. I'm hard on a set of tires and these have barely worn. I'll let you know in 10 to 20K

APPEARANCE-They look great. Open any magazine for picks.

Very inexpensive. $400 for 4 tires.

I went from the Pilot sports to
Pirelli PZero Neros M&S
225/40-18
Big difference, great tire all around. Better cornering and ride and noise reduction than the 17's
Big difference in light snow as well. Tread is great especially from the perfromance I'm getting. Still plenty of meat on them.

I took offf the Pirelli's for the summer and

I just picked up and put on these babies

Falken Azenis RT-615
225/40-18

What a big jump in performance, these things are as stiky as hell! The car takes corners so cleaner , just digs in, plus I think they look sick. But they won't last long, they're a DOT competion tire

I spin thru the first few gears because of my RIPP SC , plus I have Phantom Grip Lsd , now my launches hook hella better. So far I love these tires, I wish I didn't have a winter
