I have a stock 04 GT in "electric blue" and I'm ready to put some money into aftermarket components. The first upgrades I want to purchase are struts/springs and rims/tires. I am looking for any comment, input, suggestion, etc. on the following items. Thanks.

you'll have to check the offset of the 18x8's, but more than likely you'll be okay. IMHO it isn't worth the extra $$$ or the extra weight to go with 18's. If you're looking for performance, the easiest way to free up some ponies to the ground is to lose some unsprung weight. More than likely, if you go with 18's you'll be adding unsprung weight to your car, further taking away from the HP you currently have. If it's just for looks, then have at it, but if your ultimate goal is performance, stick w/17's and look at those Tenzo R's, Gram Lights, or 5 Zigen. If money isn't an object look at Work or JIC-Magic wheels.

Also remember that the extra $300 for the rims means more $$ for tires. If you go with the 17's you can save yourself some $$ and keep the stock tires.

That second link is a set of both springs and struts...ive never heard of those springs, but I can vouch for the Gr-2's. Also, that seller "jdmwerks" is the cheapest around for sure (and thats coming from some of this very site's sponsors).

I would couple those springs with Eibach pro-kit for a mild drop or H&R's for a more dramatic drop.

Either way, best o luck.

I've seen Vogtland springs before, but it was primarily when I was stationed in Germany. They're a quality spring company and all their stuff is TuF approved, which is the equivalent of DOT in Europe.:3_winkthu

Thanks for the input. I figured I had a pretty safe setup, just wanted to make sure. I am going to order those struts/springs asap. I will post a review in the future. Does anybody here have or have seen a blue tiburon with gunmetal rims? Seems like it would look okay, but I'm sure that's what most people with ugly-a s s-rims say before their purchase.

Thanks StealthShark for the advice. 17's it is.
