I'm looking to build up an 03 tib, and I want to run a sick low offset deep-lipped setup. Like the pic below. Post up what you can find, and if you know the rim dimensions and offset please post that up too!

finally... someone that cares about their offset.
I'm getting +35 on my wheels, its not the sickest, but the front will be good and ill put a small spacer on the backs...

Here are some good pics though... dont know the dimesions of the wheels though...

u would think though that a 42 offset wouldn't be that bad since its close to stock offset. but maybe its because of the teins drop.

if i go with 35 offset hopefully it won't be too bad with the prokit drop of 1.1" all around.

yeah, i am gonna chime in here and say that you better know exactly what you're getting into with a low offset wheel.

a. you must roll your fenders, and
b. you need coilover/some other suspension set on maximum stiffness

if you dont do these two things you're going to have tons of problems. since most people arnt willing to spend this much money just to achieve such a look it doesnt seem to happen often. it does though, and we have a few members with great setups. r100s car has a nasty wide setup on some big volk wheels, kdmguy has a super aggressive setup as well on 17s but both of these guys are running coilovers and i know for a fact r100s has his fenders rolled flat. im assuming kdmguy does as well.

so basically i shouldn't get them with a 35 offset but rather 45 instead? :3_sadley:

i guess i wouldn't mind rolling my fenders to acheive a 35 offset, but i don't want to purchase coilovers.

Interesting idea, offsetting a FWD, I imagine it's mostly for the look and it does look nice. Where did you purchase your spacers?

Would this fit an 03 with Momo GT2s sporting 235/40 R17s? The center of my rims is really small, matches the center of the brake rotors, do the spacers go behind the rotors or in front (I'd imagine in front)

And my wheels look like this.

and is 12.5mil too much?

Thanks.

gotta know more about the rim to know about the fitmet. How big is the rim and whats the offset?

and spacers go in front... between the wheel and hub

From memory the rims are 17x8 and I'm looking at 12mm (1/2 inch) spacers. I think it will probably fit and for 20$ I'll try, if it rubs I'll remove them. I'm just curious because when I took my wheels off last fall there was a brass spacer glued to the inside of the rear rims. It was about 3/8 thick and would not allow me to place those two wheels on the front hubs, only the back.

The shop that painted them, removed the spacers and didn't return them. :3_headsha

Which reminds me that I should call them about that...

i think 17x8 with a 35 offset is perfect... I have the espelir springs, and nothing rubs. I think it rubbed once under hard braking, but I may be confusing it with the ABS flipping out.

once i get coilovers i'll add spacers to the back and roll the fenders since it'll be lower and i'll have wider tires. Part of the reason why it doesn't rub now is because i have the stock 215 wide tires on the wheels, which are a little stretched but work fine.
with 235s it would definitely rub.

Here's my set-up. They are 8.5" wide w/ a +40 offset. The rears, however use a deeper face and allow for a bigger lip.
Sick rims man! I want the 3pc version so bad. I asked for a quote from one of the vendors on my350Z for 19X9 and 19X10, I almost cried when they replied back lol ~$3k just on rims is kinda steep
