Hi all, so I recently purchased my car and it's about due for an oil change. I haven't really checked it out yet is the filter pretty easy to get at in the V6's?
But the real question, I want to go full synthetic and have no idea what oil has been used in it previously. My parents mentioned to me that they've read that it's not good to switch between regular and synthetic, but have no idea how much truth there is to that.
Any ideas or advice? Could it really cause any problems? I was thinking maybe going with like a partial-synthetic on this change and then a full synthetic next time to kind of "ease it in" haha. Don't even know if that's necessary though. I also have no manual for this car, anyone know off the top of their head the amount of oil to use and grade (I'd assume around like 10w40 but dunno)?
