I actually thought allot of mine was on the inside as well at first which was why I was just going to buy new ones but thought "ef it lemme give it a try" and after sanding allot I realized it was all on the outside. It took quite a bit of sanding, went from 800 grit, to 1000, to 1500 and up to 2000 before clear coating. Each grit I sanded in the opposite direction of the previous grit. So I started with the 800 going side to side then 1000 grit up and down etc. Hope that helps for anyone wanting to attempt this. Any questions feel free to ask.

man looks great!!! i need to do mine to but why did you clear coat? wouldnt that leave a weird effect when the lights are on or no?

nope, no weird effects. Clear coat is the most durable and lasting way of doing it. you could just polish/buff it up and maybe wax it but it'll yellow/oxidize again in no time from my experience or maybe just for where I live.
