So im broke... still driving winter tires... Someone has these for sale for $100... Should I buy em and use them for this summer... buy nice ones next summer... or should I just save up for nice ones... end up getting them like in June or something...

Main question... are these tires OK?

I use 215/45/R17 but these are 215/50/R17

Will that be OK on my rims???

Advice? I have stock GT Rims

They just said they are "215/50/R17 Protenza All seasons "

my main concern is the 5mm difference... I dont know enough about those numbers..

No, my tib isnt lowered at all. Would that be the only concern? that and it may change my speedo a little? they arent new so the tread is worn down... would that offset the 5mm difference?

Can anyone else tell me for sure that I wont have any problems with my Stock GT Rims? Their only $100 and if they will get me through summer/fall then id go for it...

The speedo is the only concern.... that and the fact that they look like they have little to no tread left. You might get another 7000k outta them depending on how hard u drive.

Just need to pass MVI and last summer/fall... I dunno if their worth it... another hundred or so and I could prolly get something half decent...

if they are potenzas and your car is not lowere i would buy em for a 100$... those are good tires for the meanwhile if you really need them

your speedo would not be off for such a small difference lol. think about it a 18 inch rim bearly makes any difference. if any at all...

Indeed.

Again if you really need them its not a bad deal...

Ok, I think I will pick them up this weekend... and put them on... be nice to get my summer rims back on...

Unless anyone talks meout of it before the weekend... there going on Sunday...

PS: Nobody has anything they can sell me? lol

Those are Bridgestone Potenza RE92A high performance all season tires. I have a set of Kumho Solus KH14 all season tires with barely 4K miles on them and in perfect shape. They are OEM on my 07 SE. Actually, I have five, because I have a full size spare that has never been on the ground. I want to replace them with 225/45/17 tires in a different brand, but the Kumhos are very good. If interested, PM me. Shipping to Canada may be an issue, but we can probably work a deal.

how do you figure that out? in his case is it only cuz hes getting diff offset or do all tires throw off speed?
all dimensions of a tire that affect circumference affect speed readings

i just put on a set of 4 v rate tries for summer only, i went to a local tire shop(town fair tire) and they hooked me up cuz i showed them that i could of got the tires cheaper online so they gave it to me to that price, so i would check your local tire dealers in the aera cuz im sure they would do that for you too
