A boosted Buick what? I've never heard a Regal with a turbo! Is it stock?

No actualy its supercharged with the eaton m90 stock. The old buick regal gran nationals where turbos Basicly same things. Both have the 3.8, just the modern day gs is supercharged front wheel drive, the old gns are rear wheel turboed

 

So I own an 05 tib, But that is in the body shop getting fixed from a crash, and also getting a custom two tone paint job, so Im driving my other car. An 01 Buick Regal Gs. For those of you who may not know, but Im sure most of yo will, thats the Regal Gran Sport...... The modern day gran national. Well Im driving through joliet and this kid in a 05 or 06, the same as mine I had to chuckle, comes rodding up through traffic like he just had the fastest car on the road. He pulls up next to me at a light Where Im laughing at him driving like hes driving a ferrari. So he starts reving his car up obviously not knowing what hes up agains, and me owning a tib knowing how bad hes going to lose. Light turns green and i give him a little head start, after hes ahead about length I floor it and boost up to 12 lbs and blow his doors off. Well next light he pulls up looking like hes real pist reving up again. I laugh and wave good buy to him as I wasnt going to give him a chance this time, light turns green we hit it needless to say I pulled on him about 5 lengths. Sorry I had to kill one of our own guys, but you all know the tibs arent the fastes, they do have a lot of pottential, but not the fastest and he needed to be brought back to reality. Funny part is he did a ricer fly by afterwords flicking me off. Guess he couldnt handle getting beat by a buick lol.

When I seen that coment I started to laugh really loud.... That grand-pa car is no where near the Original Gran National! Nor it looks anytihng as good, plus FWD = fail It's a 3.8 supercahrged poseur! And the car barrely beats a v6 tib as far as I know, stock for stock that its... And that idiot still probably didn't know why that car beat him haha.
I'm guessing u have a different 3.4 pulley?

 

Um redo your research the reagal gs is exactly the same drive train nas the grand prix gtp....260 hp stock 0-60 in 6.5 sec vs the stock tibs v6 at 172 0-60 in 7.10 seconds um how do you think it just barly beats a tib, I own a tib and the regal, and my 05 constantly gets raped by it. you sir have no Idea what you are talking about. and know its completly stock right now. But as it is now Im sorry No stock tib stands a chance, when Im done with it alot of cars wont stand a chance.

i saw a stock GS Buick run a 14.5 1/4 mile at the track, i'd say its definetely quicker than a tibb, unless the tibb has serious mods it wont pull one easy. If ya ask me those Gs's are sleepers, but too bad most are driven by old people..no offense to anyone, but its almost true. lol

lol funny stuff i hate seeing tibs lol i love mine and everyone on nt but the tibs around me are owend by crack headed ricers and college girls lol sucks to be me cant wait til i put my wide body and change the look 100% there isnt many nice tibs in my hole state so yea sucks i have never seen one atleast

 

Okay, The original poster has no clue as to what hes talking about. Stock GM3800 series 2 engines, like the one in his GS boost 8 psi, not 12. They make 240hp and 280lbft, not 260hp. They run mid 14's in stock form, and with a few cheap mods crack 13's. Line a tiburon GT up against a regal GS @a 40 mph roll and see who wins(40 mph is a dead spot on the GS/GTP bottom of 2nd gear and takes forever to hit decent boost, Easy fix thru a pcm flash that will downshift to first though), Its surly not gonna be the GS!



And if you get that stage 6 kit from 3800Pro, Id atleast get a intercooler and You will HAVE to get Scanner and scan for knock, better yet is to get a HP tuner/DHP tuner so you can flash your own, You will also Have to get larger injectors and a fuel pump rewire, or else you will be looking for a new engine with its pistons intact and upgrading the tranny is going to need to be done as they trannys dont hold up well to 400lbft launchs,
