There seems to be some debate about whether my plugs indicate too rich, or too lean. Although it looks like shiny oil on the threads....... it is definately not. Nothing on that plug is wet or rubs off w/ a finger easily. The main area of debate is the white on the ground strap vs. the black on the base ring.

One thing that looks good....... the heat range is right at least.

If you want to get more of an education on how to read plugs, check this out....... http://www.dragstuff.com/techarticles/how-to-read-plugs.html

from the picture I see......I would say it's on the lean side (white)...if it where more of a brownish color it would be perfect.... a dark color would be to rich.

Like I said "form the picture"

from everything i have read, the two areas to analyze are deep down inside the plug....... and the base ring. a black base ring should mean rich. i dunno though. argh.

yea maybe I've been reading the sparks wrong...I've always analized the white part....I think I read it at the ngk website.

After reading your link....I'm not sure I've been reading it right

Like I said, they look fine. The main areas I concentrate on are the porcelain, which tells you if the plugs is reaching it's optimal temperature, and the part that sticks up where you gap it (conductor?). The porcelain insulator should be white to grayish brown. The other part should be light brown as well.
