When i first got my license, i bought a new 2006 tiburon. A couple months later i got a speeding ticket going to the beach clocked by lidar going 107. Needless to say i appealed the ticket and got a plea bargain to take two driving courses and did not have to pay a dollar. Learnt my lesson and have not sped since :3_nosthum

lol, you call this brutal?

The first thread every newbie should make should say, "I searched... I conquered... I shall never have to ask a question about the Tiburon again."

well I got my first ticket when I was 16. A warning for going 60 in 55. Ever since then I have just learned how to no get pulled over. Everyone I ride with is amazed by my ability to pick out cop cars from like a mile away.

sadly I have enough to fill this entire thread with at least 5 pages. I've already had my DL suspended twice this year, and my plates are currently revoked.

Not bad. I could fill about 2 pages. Have had my license suspended 3 times, but never twice in a year!

Many tickets but personal best:

108 in a 55 in the tib. $530 ticket and lots of insurance surcharges in the good old state of Mass. :3_fyou

come on... this has to be exaggerated... Maybe it's different from state to state but isn't it a felony to be doing twice the speed limit. That's an automatic go to jail... Just WHAT did you do to get it "dropped" to 10 over? ;) lol

Ticket 1 Tib- 80 in a 60. $400.

ticket 2 Lexus- 120 in a 30. it was really late and nobody was around except for a cop with his lights off lol
$2000 approx ticket- No new driver sign displayed, no liscence on me, construction zone so fine doubles, speeding obviously. Liscence taken away for 1 year, court hearing to see if I could have it back after that. $70,000 parents car impounded......

That is what the officer explained to me after being pulled over..... then he came back and asked me to sign a piece of paper that said $95 for no "n" sign displayed. and he said "I was young once too, don't mess up your life"

I haven't had a ticket since, nor been more than 20kms over the speed limit. I couldn't imagine what it woudl be like without a car/ down $2000 at 18.

Only 1 ticket. I was doing about 140 in an 80 on an empty 4 lane highway. I dropped it down when I saw a block of oncoming traffic to around 110 but didn't see the cop in the back of the pack. He pulled a Uée and then me over. $130

Around a week after I had my headers put on a 240sx decided to blow a stop sign coming out of a local bar. I booted it to get past him & at the next intersection there was the 5o. He kept poking around that i was street racing, but I convinced him otherwise. I think he let me off the hook when he didn't know what type of car I had and liked the sound of my driveby :3_devil:

Got my full license after that, started going to the track & not an incident since :3_coool:

i got 120 in a V6 tib once but never caught going that fast

4 stops
first at 17 doing 40 in a 25, just a warning cause the cop didnt want to deal with juvie court
second at 18 during school at 52 in a 35, got really lucky and judge dropped the ticket cause i had to wait till everyone else to be done cause it got stuck under another piece of paper. lucky me
third going 88 in a 55, dropped to only 33 over limit no reckless
fourth going 45 in a 25, coasting down a hill in a rod going into the nieghborhood but dropped to just a moving violation
and i have been very very carful about speeding cause after the reckless one i had a family punishment of 6 months no driving
but driving now and loving it

137 in a 45. my lawyer got it knocked down to 5 over thank god. after one illegal u-turn violation from an ******* statey(i was turning around to go to the police station because my tool set got stolen out of my car) 140$+300 for a new tool set, i havent had a ticket in almost 2 years, saved it for the track, now i know why my dad drives his cars at 55. no matter what, even though i make fun of him for it.

i beat the 350z though so i had no regrets.

wow coincidence. I JUST got pulled a few minutes ago (three digits in a 65, got written for 10 over, yay me)

Pre-story: we got cool new ear plugs at my job and I grabbed some for a friend that works at a machine shop

The funny part of the story(cut and paste from the message I just sent the guy I grabbed the ear plugs for):
@Ronnie: your skull screws ear plugs almost got confiscated by the ri state police. I had them in a bag in the center console and got pulled on the way back from Keil's house... Cop#1(Driver's side): License and registration please. ... Cop#2(Passenger's side) Whats in that bag!?!? UNLOCK THE DOOR!!! ... Me: Its ear plugs sir. Cop#2 What are you doing with them? Me: uhmmm, I work in a shipyard, and they are just earplugs?

My general manager at work is really good friends with the police department in our town.

So I was driving to work one day, about 30-35 miles from work. Woke up later than I wanted to and wanted to soak up as much overtime pay as possible so I was going 90 in a 55. Behind me about a quarter mile was a white honda with a lip kit trying to catch up, but I was paying him no mind. I went around a white Expedition, which then pulled behind me and pulled me over....CRAP!! Unmarked car!!

So the guy comes to my window and he's all mad like he's gonna chew me out, yells at me for a second for going so fast then tells me my friend is being pulled over up the street. I said what friend? He said the guy in the honda. They are going to pin both of us for street racing. I said I don't know him, I wasn't racing, just trying to get to work. He asks where I work and I said in Minooka. He says.......where at in Minooka? I said at the BMW warehouse. Without hesitation he gives me back my license an insurance and says "Oh, you're right down the street from us. No more freebies. Next time I'm giving you a ticket." He gets back in his SUV and drives away....I was kind of stunned. I then followed him the entire 35 miles to my work lol, their building is literally right next door to us.

I told my boss this and he just gave this smirk and nodded his head...

well I have been pulled over MANY times in the past. The first time I got a warning for doing 18 over. The next time I was literally within eyesight of my driveway and I got pulled over for 18 over again and got a ticket. Then I was pulled over a couple times for speeding with warnings, once for passing in a no-passing zone with a warning, one more time for speeding with a ticket, and a couple more warnings. I'm like the warning king. The REALLY funny parts are that they always approach my car with one hand on their guns and shining a light on me like I'm an escaped criminal.

You see, my dad and I have the exact same name. He's the 3rd and I'm the 4th. Well, he has a certain level of notoriety around town. You could say he's very familiar with the local law enforcement. One time, after my mom kicked me out and I moved in with my sister before my senior year of high school, I was sitting there watching TV when there was suddenly a knock at the door. I opened it and there was a cop. He said,"Is Hayes D here?" I replied,"Gulp... that's me!" He kinda chuckled and said,"I think I'm lookin for your dad."

Anyway, the reason this is interesting is that I never filled out a change of address form so as far as anyone knew, I still lived with my mom. So they must have seen my car in the driveway and have been searching for it and him or something and ran my tags and saw our name and holy crap!!! It's enough to make you paranoid! I've also been pulled over a few times just because they run my tags and thought I was my dad. They are always apologetic but its still pretty annoying.

The scariest time I was ever pulled over was when I had just sold my first Tiburon and got a P.O.S. I got pulled over for expired temporary tags and couldn't find my proof of insurance so he gave me a ticket for both. I was gonna show my proof of insurance at the courthouse to get it dropped to just expired tags but since I work nights and didn't have a day off I ended up oversleeping the court appearance.

So there is a Failure To Appear... I got fined and then I was late on my payment and I got pulled over again. Still expired tags and this time for realz no insurance. They then tell me that my license was suspended, probably because I didn't pay my fine. So I'm like almost in tears because I'M TOO PRETTY FOR PRISON DAMMIT!

Luckily I guess a friend of mine was on duty that night and heard my name and since he said he knew me they let me finish driving to my destination as long as I promised not to drive again until I was legal.

Wow... so that was a long story... meh... it is a pretty cool story bro...

anyway. :D

next...

the only time i have ever been "pulled over" was in my own driveway... my buddy needed help with something, so i stopped by (he lives in my neighborhood literally a 1/4 mile away from me). i finish helping him out, and i get in my car and head on home.
well. in between his and my house there is a big hill with a nice blind curve. i always make sure i go around slow so i dont get hit by a housewife on the phone... well there was a woman jogging on the side of the road (even though there was a sidewalk..) right in the middle of the turn so i slowed down to 5MPH in a 25, and when i got past the turn, i sped back up a little, and since it was on a hill, it revved a little higher than it normally would.

i park in my driveway, look down to grab my stuff, get out and there is a cop sitting right behind me.

he asked me "do you know how long it took me to catch up to you??" keep in mind that my entire trip home took less than two minutes.
he told me i was going WAY too fast and there were people out this time of day.

well it turns out he didnt actually even see me, and he just judged my speed based on the sound of my car. i asked him for proof that i was speeding, and when he couldn't give me any, i asked him what he was doing harassing me at my house.

he just told me to be safe, and he left.

dude! that's how I got pulled over in the P.O.S. I was going to a friend's house and I pulled into the driveway, opened the door, stood up, and BAM! Spotlight in my face! Cop says,"Go ahead and sit back down..." I was like wtf...

Yo what's THE MO! Hope your liking those rims mate! Im gonna be selling my kosei k1 ts soon, let me know if your interested i'll give you a good price and regards to speeding.....I've been pulled over once going 85-65 on 316 on the way to athens.....butttt ever since i got the passport srx it's a joke ha. I highly recommmend it to people who want to speed and get away with it. You can confortably go 90-95 and the radar will always detect laser/other frequencies. It's a pain to install it but it really is awesome. Once the supercharger is in, it's gonna come in very handy lol.

had my first car which was an 03 tiburon blacked out and so far i been pulled over 27 times and have 17 tickets. I fought all of them and had to pay only 3 tickets. Out of the 27 only 1 pull over was during the daytime. I just turned 20 also and no speeding tickets
