Ok, my system hits, and drops the suglass holder. Well, now the damn thing wont go back up. It stays down and blocks the rear veiw mirror. Anyone else had this problem? How would someone suggest I fix this?

Lol, I just had the same exact problem. I couldnt fix it for nothin. The dealer said they do not cover anything that is designed to wear out. I'll tell you what I did, i got pissed one day and ripped the son of a b_tch off. Probably not the best thing to do, but I felt better at the time. :)

Mine broke about 2 weeks after I put a system in it. I went to the dealership and they ordered me a new one. Well that lasted about another 2 weeks. Now I have an empty hole--but i thinking of puting a XM reciever in there. Just something to fill the hole--lol

get some duck tape and tape that sumbich closed.

seriously though. the sungless holder seems to fit pretty snuggly up against the roof. i'd get some 3m double sided tape (its pretty thick). and put some in there. you might have to replace the tape every couple months. but thats better than nothing.

if one layer of double sided tape isnt good enough get two layers.

ive never heard anythin like that before, i thought my system was hard, what the heck u guys got that the inside of your cars are falling down around u?
I have a 12 inch Alumapro sub powered by V12 Alpine amp in addition to the stock Infinity system...when the bass hits certain tunes down comes the sunglass holder...lol...might not look like much but the sound this sub puts out is amazing...cost me a small fortune a year or two ago but like they say...go listen before you buy...after hearing this thing I knew I had to have it and no regrets to this day...it sounds so much better then my old setup which was 2 10 inch subs a few years ago...

Have you guys with systems had the rear view mirror fall off yet, my last 2 cars that I had all had that problem, jsut a lil worried in case I ever drop some beat down in the Tib
In my last car my mirror fell down so many times I removed the whole thing...havent had a problem with that in my tib. But I no longer have a sunglass holder. Im thinking of puting a XM reciever where the holder used to be.

Gee, and I kept noticing this awful vibration that I could "really" hear during the music, and the "low tones", and I finally figured out where it was coming from. Sunglasses inside causing the prob?Nope just the damned holder itself, crap!......Now I know some more to watch out for...........da## it...........

Just do what I did----take the holder out and put some dynomat on the back-side . Should solve that problem.

I second the motion by Xyloft. Duct tape. Duct tape is like The Force: it has a light side and a dark side, and it binds the galaxy together. I didn't think to put my XM reciever up there. That would be pretty schweet. I just stuck mine on the empty space in front of my shifter. Looks like it belongs there, and it's easy to access.

I've got two Infinity Perfect 12's and the Infinity 1210a amp (1516 watts dynamic) and mine doesn't go anywhere. Of course I have Tsunami Silencer all over the place so not alot moves. :3_smile:

ok, i know that im gonna get flammed but....u really only need so much, i know its for show, its nice to have an awsome system, but dang!, i think that mine gets loud, really loud, only bring it up about half way most of the time and thats plenty loud...i know a lot of u r gonna be thinking im some kind of weiner, but dang, how much r u guys pouring inta these things?
not ta make fun at all, these are of course ur guys' cars and i know part of the reason u love em so much is cuz of their gnarly systems so if anything, make em as nasty as u can if thats whats gonna make ya happy. but id like ta know, just why? same reason one would buy an underbody kit? or get a CAI?
