Funny I actually got the modding bug from my Dad ... he has a '67 Fairlane Ranchero that he has been working on for years, and taking it to shows ... as soon as I got my Tib .. he asked what I was going to do to it .... rattled off a quick list to him, and listened to his advice .... the main advice he gave me ... keep all of the original parts ... then you don't have to worry about voiding the warranty ....

It absolutly makes a difference when you have some ones support ... that is for sure ....

See my dads european and he somewhat hates my modding then yet again he sees it makes me happy and I enjoy it. Even though he tells me not to spend the money, and start saving for college( kinda late now, its only 3-4 months away).My excuse is at least im not buying drugs with the money, lol.

But it still puzzles me, everytime he has to drive out far 60+ miles he always asks to take my car since its better on "gas" I think he just wants an excuse to drive it lol.

Anyone have any other ideas I can throw at him to convince him otherwise ?

I would take him to a few shows, maybe even the drag strip ... Since he is european, you may want to take him to one of the larger shows, where they have a lot of the european cars there .... it may get the juices flowing ....
