Gainesville Meet 2/21/04

Howdy,

On February 21st we'll be @ the races here in Gainesville, FL

Cost to drag race your car is $15.00
Plan on bringing about $10.00 to cover lunch and some extra cash for fuel, etc..

Saturday Daytime Test & Tune
- $15 to race $5 to watch.
- Test & Tune; Grudge Races; No Elimination handicap racing;
full tree; pro tree; "NO E.T. Display" runs--FUN RULES.

- Open to street legal cars, motorcycles, pick-ups, vans,
imports, SUV's, Winnegagos, Kenworths...YOU GET THE
DRIFT...vehicles must be driven in the gate and street legal.
No trailers in the pits.

The Saturday Daytime Test & Tune starts @ 10:30 AM and run till 4:00 PM. If we all get there around 11:30 AM, we can each expect atleast 5 solid passes...maybe even 7.

We're gonna meet up @ 10:00 AM @ the Springhills Commons Publix Parking Lot....then around 11:00 AM we'll drive to the Gainesville Raceway....I'll have printed out directions on how to get there in case anyone isn't able to keep up with the rest of us...once we start heading out...

Directions:

If u'r coming from the North on I-75, take exit 390. There'll be Harley Davidson Bike shop on your right just before the exit. Once get off the off ramp, make your way East on 39th Avenue and head toward town. Springhills Commons Publix will be on your left, u'll see the big green Publix sign and all...

If u'r coming from the South on I-75, take exit 390-toward NW 39th Avenue. Once get off the ramp, make your way East on 39th Avenue and head toward town. Springhills Commons Publix will be on your left, u'll see the big green Publix sign.

If u'r coming from Jacksonville, take I-10 West, then 301 South, then in Waldo take SR-24 West. Once u get into Gainesville, continue on SR-24 until u get to NW 39th Avenue. Make a right on NW 39th Avenue and head West. Pass SW 13th St and SW 34th St...and keep heading toward I-75. Springhills Commons Publix will be on your right hand side..just look for the big green Publix Sign.

What to Bring:

Two-Way Radios
DigiCam
DigiCamcorder
Sweater - this is Gainesville in Feb Folks (especially for those watching)
Cooler - with snacks and drinks...(small) I will have a big one...
Bug Spray
Ratchet Set (only if u have one)
Money (For entrance fee, food, gas, hotel...etc.)
