I hated my own Tiburon.

It always talked to me in CEL codes every morning.

 

I don't actually hate my car, but the one thing that I do hate about it is the fact that it's main competitor/target at the time was the 350Z, and yet Hyundai still went forth and made it a FWD car and made it as underpowered as they possibly could.

 

Kill them. One swift blade to be base of the skull, into the spinal cord. Make sure they know.... nobody ****s with you and your car.

Did you mean RWD instead of RHD? Around here there really isn't hate but no one modifies Tiburons its all Suburu's, Hondas, and mustangs...so when you go try to hangout they look @ me like im an alien lol...

Dude, my tib gets hated on by so many people. Mainly because it's slow lol, but drive what you love, you bought the tib because you like it, so have fun with it, if you like the car then that is what matters, haters gon hate lol

 

They hate on Tibs because they know something we don't... Tiburons suck.

Any Honduh with an ebay-copy HKS muffler and JDM RHD conversion can smoke a Tib, anyday. And once they're done with that, they can replaced their collapsed OEM drivers' seat way cheaper than we can with our lame leather side-airbag health&safety-special seats.

 

I'd get sick of having to go to Rally's/Checker's every time in a RHD vehicle. BLTs and spicy chickens are great, but every time? Nah...

Tell them to pound sand. People will look at your car because it is beautiful. People will look at theirs because it is abnormal. Which would you prefer?

For every 1 person that talks **** on my Tib (which is usually 240 owners around here), I get 4 people coming up to me or stopping me, or even shouting at my on the freeway at 70MPH asking "What is that?" or "Man, that is a nice looking car". I had one dude in a celica infront of me on a mountain road...he started to drive when I got behind him and I kept up. He then let me pass after 2 minutes. After that, up at the summit we both stopped at the same turnout and he asked what car it was and I said a Tiburon, but it is S/Ced. He said "oh, so thats what I heard!!".

I love my tibby soley for the fact it is sexy and rare. It also doesn't hurt when you have a few PSI on your side.

 

I get some hate at work for everything i do with my Tibby, just because it's a Hyundai..

But it's mine, and it represents everything they don't have and can't do. Be original, be different, be new.. I think it's just jealousy, so i don't give a F*ck and laugh.. I just keep on doing what i do.

Like your Tib the way you like it. And nobody can change that.

 

My Tib and I have a very strange relationship, but at the end of the day I really do love her. There isnt a single Hyundai badge on the car and a lot of people ask me what it is, especially when its tearing up their cars.

Someone said it up top and you are going to dump some cash into it, but F/L upgrades will make the 03's an entirely different vehicle.

 

I use to get a lot of hate from other import owners mostly Honda owners. You know what I did.......? Nothing, I let them talk smack. I never changed my plans for the car. Once I threw some face lift headlights, front bumper, and M&S front lip on it toned down a bit. Then when I lowered it and put some 9.75 wide wheels the hate became compliments. I still hear people say how they hate tiburons or Hyundais but then at the end of their sentences I hear, "except for yours I like it, it's clean".

Let them talk man, one of the greatest satisfaction is hearing the nay-sayers admit they were wrong. Keep it clean and subtle.

 

if your going to drop $4k on the tib, might as well supercharge it, race your friends at a local track, beat them...case solved. they're embarrassed by getting beat by a hyundai

 

It's funny how many people bash Hyundai without even knowing anything about them. Most people think my car is "JDM" and that Hyundai is a Japanese company...People always ask me what mine is since I only have the Tuscani badges. Then I tell them it's a Hyundai and they are very surprised.

 

I have a friend that owns a 240 and is practically meant for the drift races but he uses it as a daily driver. i couldve owned a 240 and him and i both know it but i chose my tiburon. everyone owns a nissan, honda, or a damn mustang. but in ohio i was the only one on the streets in a tiburon. yeah some people hated cuz it was FWD but i didnt care. i knew it was FWD and i accepted that.

a real car enthusiast doesnt sit and make fun of cars because they have a bad name or because they are front wheel drive.
My neighbor owns an SRT4 neon and i dont make fun of it because the work he has done to it is actually done right. If it looked like half the neons i have seen on the street than i would probably laugh at it but i give him respect because atleast he did it right.

this is the first time i have ever heard of people who drive RHD cars making fun of people who dont. mustve been some spoiled douche bags

 

People tell me all the time its for girls lol but i love my tib since its so uncommon i prefer that over a honda everybody sees all the time and everybody has the same mods in it

Meh, mine was one of the nicest cars in the area, and everyone once in a while a tard with $500 worth of IHE and plasti dipped wheels in a Honda would have a "Hyundai" comment, even though my car would make them look foolish on the track or at a show. Take others comments with a grain of salt, if you like your car, thats good enough.
