This may have already been asked but the search came up with bupkiss.

I am specing parts for my timing belt replacement and was just curious what you all need for the tensioner. The place I found has all of the following

timing belt tensioner

Timing belt idler

T-Belt tension adjuster

T-Belt Tensioner lever

I just dont want to get it apart and realize i need something else. If anyone has done it themselves please let me know what I need!!

ya $189 from KDM is a sick deal but I worry about border charges..
I bought stuff from Korea from Ebay like the timing belt kit and plastic wheel well covers totalling $280CDN a couple of years ago and when it got shipped to Ontario, I didn't pay duty. E-mail them to send it as a "Gift"

Installed everything about 2 weeks ago now and I must say it was a great learning experience. First time I have done a timing belt myself. Took about 3.5 hours to do and was really easy! . Have had 0 problems since, I highly reccomend getting all the tentioners, idlers and accesory belts when you do yours. The idler bearing was almost toast on mine and so was the AC belt. Also incase anyone is wondering the timing belt needs to be removed to get at the waterpump so it would be a good idea to do it while you are there. Hope this helps someone thinking of doing theirs themselves. The kit from SFR is great!

Nice, what year is your tib? seems like you were able to take stuff off the car without much trouble.
Did you take some pictures as well? I need to do 2 cars soon (03 tib & 02 elantra) both 4 cyl engines. I'm gonna have to ask you again later, so in the meanwhile hang onto your memory!

Good, good to hear. I must replace mine over thanksgiving..... I am not so much looking forward to it

Mine is an 03 and was in Ontario salty winters for 6 years. Everything came off pretty easy without any PB Blaster or anything. I only had trouble with the 2 bolts that hold that plastic cover on that's over the crank pulley. Other than that everything came off pretty easy without having to wrestle with it, having an impact gun I think helped huge with getting the crank pulley off.

I didn't take any pictures since I just wanted to get it done as quick as possible but I remember most of it. It really isnt difficult, it's just time consuming.

Heres my experience;

I sold my tib with over 140k. I had never replaced the timing belt tensioner or water pump. I have replaced the timing belt twice. I am not sure why people replace the tensioner. Mine looked perfectly fine.
