Umm, i dont care much about a warranty, cause if mine runs out or is discontinnued, ill just sell my tib and get a newer one, so if its backed or not oh well. The only thing i care about is cost, cause aftermarket **** comes outta my pockets, repairs and cars come from the parents. So if i can get a 1200ish turbo then thats the only reason im on it, but guess we'll wait and see. Hyundai is all bull****, thats why they arent looked too highly of in the automotive foodchain.. even if they do manufacture the fastest car under 20k... well, until the Scion tC comes out with a TRD supercharger!! My next ride.

I called the dealer in SD everything srx writes is true, however they say the turbo will only fit the next editon tib coming out in spring. also it's for the v6. they didnt have a price onit, well I forgot to ask, but it will be covered unde warrenty and a cai and exhuast will not void a warrenty. if some of you lost yours then you were screwed. My dealer said I can do what ever I want and the only thing that will void it is internals of fuel. Also your suspension will be voided if you even touch it.

next edition tib?
Yeah when i was at the dealership buying my tib 3 weeks ago, they had some brochures on it.From what ive seen they added the multi gauge, and a few other interior changes.I didnt notice any exterior changes though.I dont see how the turbo wouldnt work on 03-04 tibs, unless they use a different engine.

waitaminute... you saw a BROCHURE for the 2005 Tiburon? Sorry, but that's highly unlikely.

Well the only thing SRX mentions that isn't already known from the Hyundai press release is the price and you said you didn't ask, so what part of his statement are you backing up?
And why would you say engine mods are fine but a single suspension mod voids warranty? What Hyundai Corporate info do you have to back this up. Lowering springs would only cause an issue in the replacement of shocks (operating outside their intended range) or wear of another suspension item due to the change in camber.

It's real simple, ALL mods are acceptable as long as they didn't cause the problem that you are trying to have warranty work done on. If an aftermarket part did cause the problem then NO warranty work will likely be done. The only exception to this would be a "certified OEM replacement part."

I think that the broshure that they had at your dealership were actualy for the special eddition "tuscani" tiburon that will become available this spring at dealerships in the US. It will be exactly the same as the 03's and 04's except they will be available in (and only in) yellow, with the tuscani badging, multi gauges, electronic climate control, etc...if they say the turbo will only fit the new "special edition", then it will fit all the 3rd gen V6's

I thought the one that was coming to the states was being called Tiburon Special Edition or GT-SE, not a Tuscani.... ???

Also, if they are putting in the multi-guage in the GT-SE, it will probably be in U.S. measurements......sweet! Been waiting to a multiguage with U.S. measurements!

I didnt read all of the posts so if everything came out and I had nothing to back up I apologize, I know srx that's why I jumped in. The suspension I was talking about is the set up I'm doing (air). It will void all suspension warrenty not the whole cars. And last the dealer told me that it wont fit the 0304 v6, I asked them 3 times and they said it wont fit. So I'm geussing they changed a frame peice or something for the piping to fit. I never saw any info on the car just over the phone with the dealer.

Oh I see, you're talking about the "special edition" Tiburon release in the US. There is no difference to this car stucturally. It just has extra features. We have had it up here in Canada for quite a while now, and the car is exactly the same as the GT except with multiguages and side markers, among other small things.

No real problem man, though in these more debated threads it pays to be careful with specific claims. ;)
Well then yes I would say your suspension would be mostly void with a full air setup, however that's not what you said. You said "it will be voided if you even touch it."
And finally, I highly doubt they would do any stuctural changes to the current GK to accommodate an aftermarket turbo or other parts. For these parts to be coming soon, they would have had to been developed on the current car, not one that is yet to be produced.

I was just in the resonator removal DIY thread telling them that my '04 didn't have a resonator. Just one
example of a difference between the '03 and '04 models.
Maybe Hyundai removed something else in the engine bay to make just enough room for the kit. My .02. :)

Nah, 04 GT's dont sound like they have a CAI. They are just the normal almost silent (whiny) engine as the 03s. The airbox even has the square piece hanging off for the resonator, it is just not present. Looks like they pulled it out at the last minute to add 1/2 a HP. :p
