Turtle Wax ICE - Above Expectations!

Hi there,

Today I tried Turtle Wax ICE….I’m sold! I used to (like 10 years ago) like slaving cleaning my car but for the last number of years, I’ve found it just an annoying task that I would rather not do.

In comes Turtle Wax ICE. I read the packaging and it had all the right buzz word for me….”you can get it you plastics”….”no powdery residue”….”easy to remove”…”Can be applied in direct sunlight” (I have a black car nice feature!). I was skeptical, as turtle wax never impressed me but the Marketing worked so I decided to try it. Well it lived up to it’s packaging! Easy to apply, easy to remove, make your black plastic parts look great, ZERO residue! I’m totally sold! It quite literally took me 20 minute to “wax” the car, simply amazing.

Is it as good as a high quality wax….I don’t think it is, as I think you can get a deeper shine with a very high qual wax, but it does bring out a nice shine and deepens the color even in direct sunlight without all the fuss of normal wax and not having to be concerned about your trim work. Will I be using it again…Yes Sir!…Its more then good enough for me. I’ll see how it last but at the speed you can work this product, I don’t mind waxing once every couple of weeks.

Nice I just picked up a bottle of it 5 min ago along with the turtle wax ice synthetic spray detailer, but i just used meguiars NXT wax 2 days ago so I think i'll wait a little before i put it on.

Of all the spray waxes I have tried the Turtle Wax Express Shine works the best. It smells like ultra generic brute cologne though, lol. I bought some Meguires nano wax and it sucks, it is like spraying pancake syrup on your car. It is almost impossible to get off, sticks to the windshield like glue and leaves horrible streaks everywhere.

I will give the ice a try.

Holy crap i Turtle Wax Iced today and i'm never using anything else ever again. It made the tib soo clean and sparkling it's incredible. I have used zymol, meguiar gold class, nxt, cleaner wax, turtle wax. along with others and this is by far the best, most impressive luster wax/polish and it's so easy to put on cause it's a clear liquid. It leaves 0 white residue on any trim pieces. really try turtle wax ice, it's amazing.

I think I will try this wax, it seems like a good easy to apply wax to use in between times that I actually spend the time using a quality wax. The only wax i've used on my Tib is Zymol adn I loved it, and if you have one person putting it on while one person is coming behind you taking it off it goes real quick, but if you let it sit for even 3-4 minutes its hard to take off, but if you put on and take off in a minute or 2 it goes off like butter.

Isn't it just a polish?? I didn't think it carried any benefits from waxing, like coating the paint. From my understanding it was just a car polish for shows and the such. Which is why I bought the NXT wax - which is very nice as well.

I bought the meguires spray wax last year and if you use it in hot weather (above 80 degrees) it instantly solidifies in the air when you spray it and leaves yellow spots all over your windshield, wipers, where ever it hits. Then it smears all over the place when you wipe it off and looks like major a55. Stay away from that crap too, lol.

Ya i use both myself since the ICE is more of a shine then a solid protectant imo. I wax with the NXT Paste wax (god i love NXT) when needed then use the Spray ICE for those in between waxing car washes. Works great as far as keeping the luster going.

I would like to add my opinion about this as well.....I bought the ICE today, came home, washed my car with the Mr clean carwash kit(that is also a very nice kit) and waxed my car for the first time since I bought it. My cars born on date is 9/29/05 so I guess this is the 2nd wax job.

It rained here a couple days ago, while I was at work, and my car did beed while raining, and this is from the factorys wax job before I bought the car. Btw..I do wash my car on a weekly basis and take very very good car of it, only 3400 miles in almost 6 months, and thats too and from work everyday, 6 days a week.

Impressions.....After I washed my car, I came inside to wait a little bit for my car to completely dry(no need to use microfiber towels to dry with the mr clean kit). I wait patiently looking stuff up here on nt.com go outside and followed directions. All I can say is WOW, this stuff really does some very nice shine and feel to it. Absolutely great, I will always use this wax.

Btw....Before I waxed the hood, I did a feel test to make sure the hood and fender were identical.

When I started waxing, I started on just the hood. I wanted to see the shine/feel of it compared to the front fender which was not waxed to see the difference. The Shine compared was....Truely wonderful. The feeling between just waxing and the factory job back last year, was a true difference. Not only that, but how my finger just glyded accross the surface an without showing any sign of my finger, was a unexpected joy and suprise.

End result.....Buy it and try it, I am not disappointed and will continue to use this great product.

sorry if it seems like i am beating a dead horse here, but i just had to. i used the turtle wax ice today and all i have to say is HOLY SH!T ! this is the deepest, wettest looking shine i have ever been able to achieve on ANY of my vehicles and i have used alot of different brands of wax. it is so easy and fast to use too. i did one side of my car at a time and never had to deal w/ the residues or anything, you can even put it on your trim and headlights!!!

anyways, i just had to let everyone know that if you are considering buying this product, STOP PROCRASTINATING !! it is well worth the 15 bucks and you will have the best shine you ever seen for less work.

Do we have any pictures of this wonderful shine?

ok, hopefully these pics look ok, but they were taken 3 days after the ice was put on. i think the reflection speaks for itself. oh, go ahead and rate my car while you are there and tell me what y'all think.
