ok so imma sellin my truck soon and plannin on an exhaust after i sell it. but im debating what to get that will compliment my intake the best and give me a good sound but really the most power possible. i have an 08 gs with a fujita cai in it. im lookin at 3 systems an injen super ses, an ark dt-p system and for the third getting a custom one built for my car. really i wana know what would give me the most power possible

hmm.....how much did the injen add in terms of power? and if it is custom... single exit or dual? im thinkin single with 2.5 inch piping and a 15 degree angled exit....or dual with the same degree of exit... cant decide though....

ya thats actually sick.....but will 3 inch piping be too big for a n/a car..i do plan on a turbo but not until after college and im a sopohmore now so probably like another 3 years or so...but im lookin for an exhaust before the semester is over

SFR's system upgrade exhaust FTMFW!!!

Stick with ARK. I have the DT-S with a Fujita CAI and headers and it sounds sweet. Check my profile for a quick sound clip I made

i would say go custom. you could probably get a deeper tone. no offense i have never heard any exhausts mention i m one of a few tibs in my area.

SFR is good, available only in single outlet, under axle, and you can order it in 2.5" or 3" piping.
Ark is good, available in dual outlet or single, under axle, and I guess you can order in 2.5" or 3" piping as well.
Injen is good, dual outlet, overaxel, 60mm piping (approx 2.35").

Other notes
- Injen should be quitest (due smaller size),
- Injen's like $100-$150 less cost.
- Under axle is better if you have plans for boosting it in future.
- 3" shall be better for you in case of big boost f/i setup. (but might sound ricy on your current N/A)

Choice is yours :)

Edit: oh, and you can always do it custom. but if you like free advices, IMO "good" custom setup will not run you much less than these great brands.

true true....well im lookin now @ custom....2.5 in piping.....i guess the question now is single or dual.....i will have a n/a setup for a while so until a turbo hopefully comes im going for getting the best performance for that.....so to all

single exit? or dual?

From all that i have heard from the exhuast threads. Single doesnt hurt your performance on a N/A motor and i have also heard that its better to run single if you are F/I.

I have the cat but no resonater and its realy not any louder than any other exhaust. Ill get you a sound clip if I can find the time. How have you been by the way? its been awhile since ive been in any forum discusions with you, my computers been down for a few months now, and ive just gotten back on today.

I went custom for my application-all together was $385. I noticed that you wanted dual angled as well. Only tricky part about this is gettin them just right on the angles.

this isn't the best pic, but it kinda gives you an idea

both were angled out-I'd get ya a better pic but my g/f has the camera

I love my exhaust-with the headers it has a really nice, deep tone with no rasp after I added a glasspack into the equation. Almost sounds like a 350z

Very nice exhaust system offered by ARK!!!!

maynard that looks sick....dude i think you just sealed the deal for me goin custom.....haha did that price include the glasspack? definitely let me know more about your setup if you could.....i have never seen anything like that and its actually close to what i was considering to go for...pm me with more pics whenever you can or post em here either way...plz...

Total On the system I spent:
$200 for mufflers, TopSpeed N1
$185 for labor and 2.5''piping
$25 for glasspack
$425 for dc headers

If you can find a good shop, figure $450 for for a good setup. As for mufflers, I'd suggest megan racing if you're on a budget. Don't get me wrong, there are great exhaust systems out there, but I was a freshman in college, so budget played a big part of my decision. By going this route you can also save a little more cash for more mods. But yea, once they got the car done and off the lift, I couldn't quit lookin at it for a good five min. I'll try to get ya a better pic w/my blackberry tom. This pic really doesn't show off the angle of the mufflers
