im currently looking at 2 different set of wheels, one is 17x7 and the other is 16x8, i also wanted to lower my tib around 1.5 inch in front and 1 and 1/4 inch in the back or so, from those with pass experience with lowering and putting mags id like to know how far i could lower it with each sets of mags and what would and what would rub... ones are XXR 002 old school flavor( 16x8) and the others are Advanti B2 Denaro (17x7)...

advanti--> ( http://www.wheelsnext.com/wheels-rims/17x7-Advanti-B2%20Denaro-Black%20Gloss.html )

XXR-->( http://xxrwheels.com/sportmax_002.shtml# )

yea but if you look theirs 5 different colors..i would take the glossy black center with the polished lip

Neither would look that great on a tib but between the two I'd say option 1. Those 16s with the lip will look really small.

yea..im realy fussy on wheels, those 16s are ridiculously lightweight that is another reason why i would rather them, i think they whey 16lbs or so

i wouldnt see why not, the original wheels that came on the car are 16" but i know what you mean with the super thick lip,

Yeah, I honestly wouldn't go with either of them :/ but hey, it's your car! Do what you want! :D

id also look for another pair if i was you, but if i had to pick id say the first ones. the second ones are kinda fugly.

Make sure you are happy with 16s I bought 16 last summer put them on the car and hatedhow they looked and 2 months later took them off and now they are sitting in my basement and I end up ordering 18s I could of saved my self slot of money if I went what I wanted to first time so my advise to you is mske sure your going to b happy with what you pick

Not a fan of either but the I think the XXR's would look really terrible, definitely belong on a Civic... The others are ok just not my thing.

thanks for all your advice! that really help, i was looking at those 16" because they are so damn lightweight...if anyone would know a site for light weight wheels it would be greatly apreciated because i have looked on many sites and i cant find anything i like (considering the looks, fitment, and weight)

Look into Magnesium wheels. They are going to be the most lightweight that I can think of off-hand. However, they are fairly soft, and WILL be destroyed by any pothole, or rough jolt.

ok then they are no good for me lmfao im in new brunswick canada and if i knew how to post pics on this forum id show you guys how the roads are bad

First ones but they "more than likely" will not look like what is pictured. The one in the picture is concave you need a wider wheel than 7 inches to get that effect.

I have downsized to 16's from 17's after i lowered my car and think they look ok (would look better if I had coilovers) . I think you will be disappointed with those xxr's/ 16's in general if you are still on stock suspension... If you don't plan on lowering, get some 17's or up

I'd say go with at least 17's regardless. Personally, I don't think I would go lower than stock on my car as I already think the wheels look borderline too-small. I am on stock suspension still though. When I lower I def do not want 16's, but that's just me. In my opinion, 17's or 18's and lowered is the best look.
