when i get headers for my V6 (auto tranny) .. do I need to get a high flow cat as well?
yeah, 2.5" should be a good fit, it will also depend on the placement and piping of the headers but most of the headers I believe are also 2.5", I went with a Magnaflow metal hi-flo cat for my DC Headers which are going in on Friday, assuming everything goes as planned I will have clips for all of you.I will be doing the headers install soon and have a catback exhaust but i will need to buy a 2.5 inch magnaflow High flow Cat.
there should be no measurement issues right because 2.5 is right for our Tibs?
Actually the shape of it helped it to work out perfectly, I agree with you that it appears to be an awkward shape but I'll take a picture maybe tomorrow to show you- it actually worked out very well for me and I added a Magnaflow muffler (PN 11216) to remove all drone, I'm loving the setup right now whereas a week ago I couldn't even drive my car because it was embarrassingly loud.i dont know about that design im almost positive that design is more disruptive then the standard both sides flare out and come back together design. Also the metallic substrate is higher flowing alternative to the standard $50 flowmaster ones and the way one should go. Personally i run a Dynatec PowerCat which is also a metallic substrate cat.
