Not to long ago i figuered out how to fix a tib window motor that didnt work at all... Didnt want to wast time making a diy unless someone needed it.
I just got one for $46 on ebay from Best Choice Auto Parts. It took eight days from Korea to get to my mailbox. I'm repairing the drivers side this weekend.TNT said:You mean I've been without a window motor for a year now, and just the other day I drop $85 for a new one only to see that right after I do, someone has figured out how to fix a broken one?? Son of a *****.
for $46 on ebay? i think ima have to check it out, BOTH my windows dont work at the moment and its been like this for a whileI just got one for $46 on ebay from Best Choice Auto Parts. It took eight days from Korea to get to my mailbox. I'm repairing the drivers side this weekend.
nOT POSSIBLE. all the wires just plug in with connectors.....I thought of that also.....and when i soldered the new brushes in I did one side at a time so I couldn't screw upwires are bacwards
any old electrical tools will have brushes.....not the right size though, I just ground mine down to the size of the old ones..only longer. brushes are really soft ...about the same consistency as pencil lead. very easy to shave down I used a file to fine tune mine. beware it is very messy..LOL but is better than spending 300.00Ok mine brushes are worn all the way. The only problem is i cant find any new ones! Any ideas?
can someone circle in the pictures above the "brushes" i'm not sure what u guys are talking about when you mention brushes
The carbon brushes are small and black and inside the brass sleeves right near the copper "wheel" look like this
lol... i ended up with backwards window too!!! i think it has to do with the direction you put the motor back in. One thing I noticed is that I put the side with the sticker on the outside (not on the same side as the bolts.. but I think it was the other way. Can anyone who does this next verify my theory before they put everything back together? =P thnx.
