My clutch is prety much busted..
Im not that familiar with clutches so i really need some help..
What would be the best clutch kit or clutch for my 03?
do i really need a flywheel?
so far my car is N/A.. I/E/H..
its a daily driver but also a racer at night lol
any suggestions?? :helpme:

racer at night? lol. well I'm about to get a new clutch too. Don't get another stock, stock clutches BLOW. Try a stage 2 or heck a stage 3. Im thinking about getting a stage 2 myself. My clutch isnt doing so hot either, if I drive it a long time it smells like clutch really bad, but it still works fine.

thanks man! do u knw what brand would b better tho??
im not quite sure if its my clutch tho cuz i change the slave slider and worked a lil better
now ama try and change the master cylinder to see if this is the problem..
the thing is that wen i go higher than 3.5 RPMs it wount let me change gears, its really hard so idk whats going on

OP your last post there sounds to be more along the lines of either bad synchros or a near blown throw out bearing.

Why do you have 2 threads on this Haha? But yeah...as said in the other one, could be a bad throwout bearing, bad synchros, etc. I'd wait for the tranny whores to chime in but I've had the same (general) issues before. Ended up being a blown tob.

Re: DAMMMMM What could it be this time!?!?!? 2003 gt v6 problem

Replace the clutch, happens to everyone with 03-04s.
I'd recommend NOT putting a new stock FW and clutch in.

Yeah that would be the clutch being overheated haha. :)
Clutch installs are fun! You'll learn a whole bunch.

what kind of clutch kit would u recommend? i really like to step on my car but also have it as a daily driver.. i got alot of sugestions of stage 2 but what brand would be the best?

Well, what I'm planning on getting, is the Fidanza flywheel with a STG 2 Clutchmasters..
That should do you well for :)

i NEED HELP ASAP!!! had to post threads out there
More threads don't get you more answers. They get you the same answers, more times. Therefore, it is a waste of space on the boards. The people who can help you will help you, those who can't, won't. Even so, those who can help for a transmission-related thing will come to the transmission section to offer their services, so the different locations are not needed.

prety much getting me in debt -__- hahahah
I don't remember how much it would cost, actually haha, maybe I should look into that since I am going to need a clutch by the end of winter :)

EDIT: As of right now, I'd get the Fidanza flywheel from ZMR for $380 and then the Spec STG 2 from him also, for a combined total of $785! :)
Not bad if you ask me, but that is just a quick price checking search.
or...
looks like WSCP.com has Fidanza FW for $354 and Spec STG 2 for $390 from them also, saving $41 extra instead of ZMR ;)

Which I can beat, I'm just sticking to the rules about manufacturers minimum advertised pricing. I can also offer support when it comes to the install and making the correct choice for your specific needs when it comes to Hyundai vehicles.
